Dog meet and greets are by appointment only, please answer the questions below the bio, either through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet, rescueme.org or by directly e-mailing us at shelter@hbpets.org. Please be patient, we will get back to you in a few days. ***Please check your Junk/Spam folder for reply e-mails from us, if it's been more than 72 hours*** Meet Spud, Milano (Millie for short) and Chili (adopted), they are 6mth old litter mates, Dutch Shepherd, Boxer and Rottweiler mix's. They were from a hoarding home, where there was 11 adult dogs and 12+ puppies. They are housebroken and loving. Our Millie just got back from, foster care and we found out a lot. Millie and Spud are both a little leery of men, but their confidence is building, they do love and are comfortable with our male employee. Both Spud and Millie had not seen each other in 6wks and when they saw each other it was made clear they are braver, happier and more confident with each other than they are separated. They would love a home full of patience, kindness, and understanding, someone who is willing to let them decompress and adjust to their new home. Both Millie and Spud are absolutely the sweetest dogs and don't have a mean bone in their body, they just need an adopter much like our team members, who is willing to give them what they need, full of routine and space. We are so thankful to Millie's foster family for giving her a wonderful place and verifying what we already suspected, that these two need to be adopted together. Both dogs are laid back, love to play with toys, they are not high energy and listen well. My adoption fee is $300 (each), includes: Spay/Neuter, vaccines, dewormer, Heartworm/Tick testing, microchip, flea treatment and a 1lb bag of puppy food. 1. Do you own or rent? If you rent you will need authorization from your rental company prior to meeting our puppies. 2. Do you have a private fenced yard? If not, what is your plan for potty breaks and exercise? 3. Do you go hiking, jogging or do physical activities that she can be a part of? 4. How many people and age groups live in your home? 5. How many animals, types and what they are like! 6. Do you have time to continue basic training? 7. How many hours a day will they be alone? 8. Please tell us more about how they would spend their days and what activities you would plan! 9. Have you ever owned a shy dog before? If so, please tell us about it.

Story
Hi, meet or pretty girl Cream who is about 1-2yrs old and a petite 40lbs. She's very loving and sweet but also a bit shy with humans and dogs but warms up quickly. She gains confidence around other dogs and solicits attention. She doesn't walk well on a leash and just needs a little direction as it doesn't seem like she learned about a leash before. She's not only a cutie, she's smart too so she'd be fun to train. She seems to be house trained, but accidents should be expected for a new environment. She's spayed, vaccinated and chipped so she's ready to be your new love. Get your application in ASAP! Currently in Southern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and other close by states, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.

Story
Hi, meet Duke, a super gem of a boy, who was born on June 26th and has been microchipped and current on vaccines. He's so adorable, you won't want to put him down. Here’s what his foster mom has to say about the cutie:“Duke is a big boy full of love and affection. He stares at you with the biggest puppy-dog eyes full of love every time he sees you. He can be unsure at times, but with a little reassurance he's ready to take on the world. Duke is a calm little boy, happy to chew on a bone or play with a toy whenever he's on his own. He's an adorable little teddybear ready to be your best friend!”He has 7 other siblings so feel free to adopt 2! 2 puppies are always easier than 1 we say. Let them tire each other out instead of you. He's got fun puppy energy and he's ready to have his forever home so get your application in ASAP and see if you're a great match for Duke!Currently in Southern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and other close by states, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him/her

Story
Hi! I’m Willy! I am a one-year-old, neutered, 45-pound, medium-energy, medium-length-coat German Shepherd mix.I am a friendly and relaxed dog with a playful and clever nature. I have a moderate amount of energy and I am up to date with my vaccinations. From the beginning, my life has been tough. I was mistreated by my previous owner, and my fellow dog siblings chewed off the tips of my ears, probably because I am more submissive. Despite this, I've coped well. I'm a shy boy and will require your guidance and support. I will always look to you for direction and rely on your support. I'm a very tolerant and the bestest boy! I want a confident sibling like my foster mom's American Bulldog Blend. I'm cautious but open to new experiences and people. I need patient and consistent humans who encourage and support me. When I crave your attention and need some affection, I'll roll over and expose my belly. Those who meet my craving for a delicious snack gain my favor. I will swivel my head from side to side whenever I hear an intriguing sound. I’m skilled at engaging in conversations and providing valuable suggestions that I consider worthwhile. I want to show you affection and shower you with kisses.I know the following commands: sit, down, crate, come, off, and HAPPY!  I enjoy both relaxing at home and playing outside. I particularly enjoy going for walks, especially with a confident dog friend. Additionally, I am crate trained and find comfort in my crate when I need some time to myself.
