Meet Amina! She is a beautiful Dutch Shepherd, around 1-3 years old and 50 pounds. We aren't sure what she's been through, but she spent a week jumping fences and hiding in the backyards of a neighborhood before she came to the City of Raytown Animal Services. She is very loving, walks well on a leash, and is dog friendly. The Pet Connection can help with suggestions on how to help as well. Amina will need at least a six-foot fence and must be walked on a leash until you're sure she cannot jump that fence. She will do best in a home with someone experienced with this breed of dog and who will allow her the time she will need to decompress. She is not doing well in the kennel and needs to find a foster or adopter soon. In the quiet moments in boarding, she will snuggle up in your lap, press her head against your chest, and take a deep breath as she enjoys the reassurance. She's scared, but so loving. Once she finds a home we just know she will fully relax and show her full sweet personality. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information.
