Story
Hello, I'm Sawyer. I'm still young and figuring out this big world. It's all a bit overwhelming, but I'm taking it in stride. I can be a bit shy, but once I warm up to you, you'll see how sweet and mellow I can be. Food is very important to me, and I like to make sure no one will take it away. I'm learning to trust, and with patience, I know I'll get there. I may need a little extra love and understanding, but I promise, it'll be worth it. Adopt me, and let's grow together.

Story
FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED Kyoto is a 1yr old, 60lb Dutch Shepherd mix. He is in desperate need of a dog savvy foster or adopter to help him learn manners and how to be a calmer guy. Kyoto has a lot of energy and would benefit from another playful dog and some mental stimulation. He is not the brightest when it comes to social cues from other dogs and just wants to play, play, play even when they other dog has had enough. He is good in his crate. Typical of a lot of shepherds he is slow to warm up and would love to find his furever person/people to devote all his love and loyalty to. Kyoto should not go to a home with small children since he will accidentally knock them down and while he is fine with small dogs we do not know how he is with cats. Kyoto is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines and preventatives with an adoption fee of $400. If you can give this guy a a place to crash until his furever family finds him or you hope to be that furever family please fill out an application below: https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-foster-application https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-adoption-applicationOctober 19, 2024, 9:19 pm

Story
Annie is a gorgeous 3-year-old female Dutch Shepherd mix. She is a very happy, sensitive, smart, and energetic dog. Annie is house trained. She knows the commands sir, lay down and stay. She walks fairly well on leash, she may pull a bit if there is a squirrel to investigate. She usually enjoys a good run at the dog park then she sleeps for the rest of the day. Annie is great with the 1, 2, and 5-year-old children she loves with. She is dog-selective but can be great with other dogs who are more submissive. Annie does have a high prey drive, so she shouldn't be with cars or small dogs. Annie is a very sweet dog who loves to cuddle and loves belly rubs. She does not bark unless she hears something suspicious outside. Annie does need a good fenced in yard or she will try to get out and find neighborhood buddies to play with. Annie would make a really wonderful companion and hiking dog. She weighs 75 pounds and is full grown. She is microchipped. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants. Adoption fee is waved but the application process is not. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups should be on heartworm preventative, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ and return it per instructions.
