Story
Yuki is a big a sweet heart and a big bundle of joy. She knows simple commands and gets along well with other dogs. She is big for her size but a huge baby. She is four years old and her birthday November 13. I am looking for a loving a couple or someone who is genuine in loving for her and caring for her as I have. I would like a big backyard for her so she can run around and have all the freedom a dog is meant to have. I just want her to be loved and treated with all the joy in the world

Story
Meet beautiful Bettina! She arrived as a lost girl at the shelter on 10/30, and no one has come to reclaim her. Miss Bettina is just precious! She is everything a young dog should be: cute, friendly, and playful! Oh, and she LOVES treats and will work for them. Someone along the way took some time to teach her a few things because she does know how to sit and lay down nicely when asked. If you're looking for an active BFF to join you on all of life's grand adventures, please come meet Bettina! Bettina is approximately 1 year old, and she weighs 46 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and she will be spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Bettina is waiting in run 876; her ID # is 5944. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Jax is a super loyal, energetic, and loving dog! He loves going on walks and playing fetch for as long as you can handle! He is six years old. He is looking to go to a loving single pet home with a family that has as much energy as he does. He can get anxious and go after our cats or other dog. He currently lives with another medium size dog and two cats that he loves to play with. We have two small children and can’t risk another attack.

Story
Meet Elvis, an 11 month old Dutch Shepherd-kelpie mix. Elvis is current on vaccinations, neutered, and is chipped. Dog friendly (cat compatibility unknown at this time) Elvis has been around children making him a great family dog to a loving home. Elvis needs a structured routine where he will be able to learn and thrive. Active home is a must as Elvis has energy to burn. A little note from his foster mom: 'Elvis may be the King come back in puppy form. He has so much energy and has all the burning love to give! Elvis loves to give kisses and a nibble here and there. There is pretty much nothing he won't do for a snack, or a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Elvis enjoys walking on the leash and while he fought with it his first time out, he learned quickly that the leash means sniffs and good times. Elvis just wants to be the center of attention for sure, and the spotlight should definitely be on him' If you can give Elvis the love and attention he deserves please take the next steps in applying. Send us an email inquiry or visit our website to apply.November 6, 2024, 12:01 pm

Story
**He is currently in Seattle** Mukgoo is about 5 years old. He was found near an army base in Korea and immigrated to America around the age of 1 on President’s Day of 2020. He is an incredibly smart and lovable dog. He is kind and loves people (loves dogs and people). He will eat almost anything (except veggies). He can be a jumper when he gets very excited. He prefers households with another dog and a big yard to run around in but it’s not a non-negotiable. He has always adjusted well to whatever the circumstance. Overall, he’s a good dog and he’s got a lot of love to give. I’m having to give him up due to being unable to raise him in my current life stage. In no way, this is due to any bad behaviors or anything. He’s a really kind-hearted and sweet dog. Likes - He loves playing fetch (quickest way to his heart), rolling in the grass, puppycinos, ice cream, snow, people, dogs - Historically has liked lamb, fish skin, salmon, bully sticks, dental sticks, sweet potato, etc. In general, he loves to eat~ - Very social and prefers to greet other dogs and people, including dog parks, doggy day cares Dislikes - He dislikes bath but who does - He doesn’t like being alone but can manage a few hours if needed - No longer is a fan of veggies - Fireworks and big noises Things to Watch out for - Throwing up: If you let him freely eat grass, he’ll throw up. When he feels stressed, he can react by throwing up. - He can be independent when he is fixated on things. Just be patient with him and he will come back to focus on you. He is a people pleaser. - He rarely barks. He may bark when other dogs bark but even that is rare. He is more of a whiner. If he needs to let you know something, he will whine. - Not a counter surfer but can be if you let him Commands He knows his basic commands (sit, down, hand, etc.) and is open to learning new ones as well. Potty He is used to peeing and pooing outside. Once you create a regular spot and time for him, it’s clockwork. Otherwise, just be aware when he whines that it may be time to go. - At a high level, he knows “go potty” and “go poo” as a sign to go to the bathroom - He will rarely go pee or poo inside the home. Once in a million tries, a thing like that can happen during the night but he’s really sorry when he does. Leash He has never been fully off-leash, only in areas that condone it (home, backyard, dog park, etc.). He is not one to go off-leash and run away. He’ll run around and try to have you play with him. Keep him on a short leash if you need to focus on walking as he can veer away due to his interest in sniffing. Once on a short leash, he’ll understand and walk along. However, give him time to sniff as he is very curious with smells. Sleep He can sleep together or on his own if you’re in a different room or floor. He is also loves to cuddle up as well. When there’s fireworks, it’s recommended you sleep where he sees you because he’s afraid of the loud sounds. Food He is on one meal a day. If you give him two meals a day, he may not eat the first meal. Snacks though he loves. He knows how to sit and wait for food. He is currently on Costco’s salmon and sweet potato meal.

Story
Meet Clyde! Ok, where are our GSD lovers?! Clyde is a 7-8 year old purebred German Shepherd looking for a true GSD person (breed experience required) to call his very own! Clyde is good with other dogs, although he’s lacking some doggy manners so he needs his friends to be patient with that while he learns. He would be great as an only dog though too! Typical of his breed, Clyde loves his person above all else so he has a take it or leave it kind of attitude towards dog friends.   Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: previous first hand ownership experience with purebred German Shepherds is a strict requirement to adopt Clyde ##1772045##

Meet Gary!  How cute are these little monkeys?!?! Born on 12/15, these absolutely amazing shepherd mix puppies have been waiting so long for their forever families to find them! We didn’t see either of the parents but we were told mom was a purebred black GSD and dad might have been some sort of boxer mix. No matter their breed make up, though, these guys are sure to make wonderful additions to a few very lucky families!  Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org Just a a reminder…RMG does require an adult dog in the home for all puppy adoptions ##1952700##

Story
Meet Gavin!    Gavin and his siblings joined our RMG family in early 2024 when they were only about 6 weeks old. We didn’t see either of the parents but we were told mom was a purebred black GSD and dad might have been some sort of boxer mix. No matter their breed make up, though, these guys are sure to make wonderful additions to a few very lucky families!   Gavin is a smart and loving guy who would excel with his own person to devote all of his attention to. Being half GSD, loyalty is in his blood! His brother, Gulliver, is actually in training to become a service dog! Gavin is great with all dogs and loves water. He truly would make an amazing adventure buddy to go hiking and exploring! Interested in adopting?
