Story
Meet Dandy Dandy is a gorgeous Dutch shepherd mix. She was rescued from a high kill shelter. This beauty is incredible! Dandy is just one year old. She is super sweet, affectionate, friendly and outgoing. She arrived at our shelter just a few days ago and is doing great. Dandy loved meeting our shelter staff and volunteers. She was so happy to see them, and she calmly sat for scratches and gentle pets. Dandy travels well in a car and likes going places. Dandy is a bigger girl at 60lbs. She is energetic and would do well with an active family or person. She loves walks/hikes, likes to run in a fenced yard, she might even enjoy dog parks or doggie daycare. She loves other dogs and plays very well. She can be submissive if she’s feeling overwhelmed by other dogs. Dandy is sensitive and very smart. She is a gentle soul. Dandy had so many advocates trying to get her to safety and we can see why. She is amazing. It’s so hard to understand how a dog like Dandy finds herself homeless, but the family or person who adopt her will be getting a gem. Dandy will be spayed before going home. If interested in Dandy, please submit an application online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Please email our shelter (smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net) or call our shelter at 706-865-4135 and leave a message to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

Story
Meet Juno's Litter! Jazzy and her 7 siblings were rescued alongside their mom, from a dumping situation. These fur babies are semi feral pups who have known nothing about love and human contact until we rescued them. Please keep in mind these puppies will need a lot of patience and an experienced owner. Since they are still working on their confidence and leash skills, the puppies will also require a home with a fenced in yard. With that being said they should be considered a bite risk. We are glad they came to us so we can help rehabilitate them and find them a forever home! Jazzy has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Each puppy has a birth date of 11/01/2024 and each puppy has an adoption fee of $175. Each puppy is estimated to be around 50-70 pounds, full grown. Puppies require a lot of time and commitment. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate a puppy as they will be a member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. If you want to know more about Juno's Litter, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. . After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Hi, my name is Lela. Im a super awesome big girl who was clearly mishandled or abused in my past. But I'm as sweet as chocolate pie. You see, I came in to Bartow AC as a stray. I was absolutely terrified. Thankfully, an advocate for me found this wonderful rescue who ended up saving me! I'm more so on the submissive timid side. I don't care to play with other dogs, but I also don't mind being around them. I kinda just do my own thing. I'm still learning how to be a dog and learning the art of play. I'm fully house and crate trained and I absolutely love belly rubs. Kids are pretty awesome too. But I'm not sure about cats. Maybe we could try it out! Anyways, I really hope you look past my sad face, and take that chance on me! Email pawprintpackinc@gmail.com if you'd like to set up a time to meet me!
