Story
This beautiful girl is Cornfield. She's a 7 month old GSD mix with beautiful brindle markings on her muzzle. Cornfield is clocking in at about 46 pounds but I don't think she will get much bigger, she's not a tall girl. She's done great with my resident dogs and foster dogs. She eats in her crate, likes being brushed and so far hasn't had an accident in my home. She is still a puppy and has some puppy actics but in a little time she will grow out of that stage. Cornfield has been introduced to our cats, seems interested but there hasn't been any issues. So if you are a GSD lover and want a smaller version, Cornfield is your girl. November 3, 2024, 5:22 pm

**** Breed Experience or similar breed experience will only be considered***Name: HannahBreed: Dutch Shepherd MixAge: Under 2 years oldKids: 12+ Cats: NoDogs: NoHold onto your hearts, Hannah is hard not to fall in love with!! This beautiful girl came to MHS as a transfer from a local animal control partner. Hannah is estimated to be a little over a year old and has an equal amount of boundless energy as she has love to give!Hannah will require a home with Shepherd/Belgian Malinois, or similar breed experience. Hannah is extremely smart and loyal to her people, this girl knows all the basic commands, and then some! Hannah has a ton of energy so will require an active home that will give her a job to do to prevent boredom, and a home preferably with a fenced in yard so she can get all her energy out.Hannah does have a tendency to jump very high when she's excited and wants to say hello, so we are seeking a home with older, breed savvy children. Hannah would prefer a home without any other animals.Hannah is microchipped, UTD on her vaccinations, and is spayed. If you think you can give Hannah her forever home, please fill out an adoption application today!!!https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Story
My name is Lil Man aka Deuce. Deuce for two since I'm getting a second chance at life after being in the shelter. My foster Dad says I'm living life to the fullest and trying really hard at forgetting my first life. I'm still shy around some people but my foster has been teaching me to be less fearful of strangers. I would love you to help me with slow introductions when I meet new people. People always say how beautiful my brindle coat is. I'm very smart and will sit and speak for my treats, I am learning to play ball and will jump in the air to get it! I'm still working on the bring it back all the time, every time. But I'm working on it! I get along well with other dogs and I'm a great watch dog. I like to make sure my people are safe and taken care of. I love being outside in the sun and playing with my dog foster siblings or other dogs. I love the yard and think being outside is swell. When I come inside I'm a very good boy and don't get on the couch or jump on people. I do like to give little licks and kisses to the people I feel safe with. I have a zest for life and like to go for walks and runs and to play in the river. I'm potty trained and stay out during the day in the sunshine. I always try to ensure the squirrels know I'm the bosss. At night I like to sleep inside with my pals. Whoever adopts me will have to be a little patient and continue working with me on my shyness at times. New things are scary and I need you to show me it's going to be ok. My perfect home would have a nice, fenced yard, and maybe a doggy door so I can go in and out on my own. I'll probably do better with another dog in the household, I really like friends. I would love someone to play fetch with me or take me to the river and swim. I don't mind baths at all either, but I sure don't like cats! I like to keep my food just for me and don't really like to share. I know basic commands and will sit for a treat, or two. I would love to meet you and your resident dog and make some new friends!

Story
Show some love for this beautiful girl Girlie! She's looking forward to moving up north and becoming your girl. If you would be interested in fostering, adopting, or fostering to adopt this loving girl please fill out an application here http://www.bestfriendsforlifeanimalrescue.com/ I've got sunshine on a cloudy day When it's cold outside I've got the month of May I guess you'd say What can make me feel this way? My girl (my girl, my girl) Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl) - from 'My Girl' The Temptations Girlie is a GORGEOUS Dutch Shepperd/Heeler mix with a beautiful brindle coat. She is estimated to be around 2 years old. She currently weighs 50 lbs, a little chubby for her size, which should be closer to 45 lbs, so foster mom has her on an exercise routine which includes bike riding on leash and she is an absolute natural. She perfectly navigates turns and stops on a dime at the perfect moment. She will also make a great running partner! She is fantastic with other dogs and she adores kids. She's quite a talker too so she's always up for a conversation, especially when it's time to eat. Girlie LOVES meeting new friends. She's fine with cats but may chase for fun if other dogs do. Girlie is already house and crate trained. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. This happy go lucky sweet girl would enjoy having a family that is active enough to keep her in good shape plus she's the kind of girl you can take out on plenty of adventures and she'll make you proud. Girlie is eagerly waiting to find her forever loving home and her happily ever after dream is to be your girl, sunshine absolutely included!

Story
Thor has been with my son for 5 years. He has never taken him to a Veterinarian. He is underweight. His coat is dull. He has separation anxiety. My son has lufelong mental health issues which have worsened. My son had major surgery and cannot care for Thor. He asked me to rehome Thor. Also Thor jumps up onto the bed, landing on Jason. This would be very detrimental and even disastrous to Jason Thor needs a strong person to walk him. Jason cannot do that anymore. Thor is underweight I can see his ribs. He needs a loving home. Sometimes my son runs out of dog food (and people food for himself) and does not have money to buy more. Thor is an exhuberat dog. He barks at other dogs and rushes up to them wanting to play. This can be disconcerting for other dog owners. I am elderly and disabled and cannot walk Thor or care for him.
