Ronnie is a loving, loyal and obedient 2 year old dutch shephard who is being raised with my 3 children ranging in age from 4 - 14. She was found on our doorstep when she was ~5 weeks old and we've been raising her ever since with our lab / ridgeback mix who is 3 years old. She generally plays well with our other dog but does display dominance over her and can be rough with her.

Kinzie is the spunkiest, smartest, most energetic girl! She spent most of her life in the shelter but thanks to CBR saving her you wouldn’t even know it. She’s so intelligent, even just one training session with her she picks up so much! Her leash skills are great, she loves her crate, and is fully potty trained! Kinzie loves being outside, and would do great in an active home wanting to walk, run, or hike daily. She can be a little shy at first with new people, but feed her a treat and she warms up quickly. She’s fiercely loyal to her people and loves to please them. She loves affection and will do anything to earn your touch! She’s working on her jumping, so would probably be best in a home with adults only or older children. Kinzie is the sweetest girl and would love to be a part of your home!

Bentley is a 1.5-year old male Dutch Shepherd mix youngster (most likely Belgian Malinois) who was picked up as a stray by Stanislaus Animal Services. This poor puppy was so traumatized at the time of intake, but is now safe with rescue in a wonderful foster home, where he can decompress and begin to feel safe and loved. Bentley is a sweet little boy, and didn’t hesitate to come to our volunteer upon first greeting. He is now fully crate trained, and does well with other dogs. Initially, he was very shy when meeting other dogs, but has become a pretty confident pup, and loves to run and play. His first night in his foster home, he slept in his crate all night with no issues. He loves his people and at times wants to be right next to you, waiting for pets and lovin. Bentley will require a committed and loving human who will make him a part of the family, providing the care and attention that every young pup needs. Only older dog-savvy children 8 and above in an adoptive home will be considered. It will be necessary for an adopter to have recent successful experience in raising a GSD, Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherd, or other large breed working puppy. An adopter who will begin and continue his obedience training based upon positive reinforcement is recommended, including positive steps to discourage unwanted behavior, to ensure he remains on the path of a well-behaved canine companion. Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie previously lived with another large dog and got along well with her. She would even snap at him sometimes and he would not really react. He simply wanted to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). My name means "beautiful" and "delightful" and it is so fitting, because I have a gorgeous brindle coat and a sweet face. I was rescued from a California shelter, and now have been waiting patiently for someone to notice me! I am gentle with people, and am friendly with most dogs, though I can get jealous at times. We got him from the animal shelter in Modesto. He seems to have possession aggression and would need someone with the time and experience. The shelter said he was 3 but we think he might be younger. He gets along well with dogs. He doesn’t listen to anyone so I strongly recommend someone that will put in the effort he needs

Story

Doom is a super sweet dog that needs someone who has a lot of time for him each day. He has a lot of anxiety when going into unknown situations but he is very loyal and sweet to the people he loves. He is fine with our cats, tries to chase them but not hurt them. He would probably love another dog friend to bond with as well. He’s happy with relaxing inside just as much as going out for walks. He also has some skin issues that my brother has tried to correct with food and baths etc that has gotten better. He is crate trained as well. Unfortunately we need to rehome him due to my brother having to work two jobs and not have the time Doom deserves.
