Story
Meet Donna! A brilliant and bouncy three-year-old German Shepherd mix currently in Brentwood, CA, whose essence is a dazzling blend of athleticism, affection, and a swirl of brindle beauty. With her sleek black-brindle coat and eager eyes, Donna turns heads, but it’s her heart that truly shines. This girl is the total package for anyone who loves an intelligent, energetic, and incredibly devoted companion. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and knows all the basics thanks to her sharp mind and food-motivated nature. Donna thrives on structure, positive reinforcement, and brain games that challenge her natural instincts. Whether you’re heading out for a run, hitting a trail, or just exploring new sights from the passenger seat, she’s always ready. Tail wagging, tongue out, and paws dancing with excitement! Donna adores her people. She’s a gentle snuggler who will rest her head in your lap, quietly soaking up affection and offering her unconditional love in return. She’s done wonderfully with children ages 7–12 and enjoys being part of the everyday rhythm of family life. While loud noises or unfamiliar sights might cause her to pause, a calm voice and gentle reassurance bring her right back. Donna is a high-energy girl who needs more than just a stroll around the block, she needs real adventure and consistent engagement to be at her happiest. She’s shown great progress with leash training and has even walked calmly beside another dog after a guided session, but she is dog-reactive and will thrive as the only pet in her new loving home. She’s also had an unfortunate experience recently when an off-leash dog attacked her, so a patient and experienced pet parent who understands her sensitivities will be essential. When left alone, Donna does best crated, as she can get a bit too creative with bedding or household items. But when her needs are met, physically and mentally, she blossoms into the most loyal shadow you’ll ever have. Are you ready to welcome a fiercely loving, spirited sidekick into your life? Because Donna is ready to light up your world! To learn more or take the next step, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com! Could Donna be the devoted adventure buddy you’ve been dreaming of?

Story
Meet Flynt, a survivor from  Contra Costa Animal Services . This handsome boy was rescued just in time after receiving his euthanasia notice. Because of rescue, Flint now has the chance he always deserved — a second chance at life. ❤️ Flynt is a Dutch Shepherd mix, about 4.5 years old, and weighs around 74 lbs. He is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, and ready to start the next chapter of his life with a loving family. Flynt is a sweet and loyal dog who loves people. He can also do well with other dogs with proper introductions. What he needs most now is a home where he can feel safe, loved, and part of a family. After everythinghe has been through, Flint truly deserves a place to call his own. ✨ If you are interested in adopting or doing a foster-to-adopt with Flint, please contact the rescue. Giving Flint a home means giving a shelter survivor the life he almost never got.May 11, 2026, 5:21 pm

Story
Rescued from a back yard breeder, unable to get the puppies adopted, Leah is a quiet, well behaved, gentle girl. Her bunk mates are male and female and smaller. She joins them for outings and plays well. She does not have a strong prey instinct and would do well out on walks socially. For additional information, call Lydia at 714-357-8405. If this listing is still posted, we are still accepting applications. We do not do out-of-state adoptions. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog at a mutually agreeable appointment day, time & place. Usually Petsmart Yorba Linda or our Santa Ana location near South Coast Plaza. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. Story
Bear 12 year old male mixed breed sweetie pie named Bear. We think hes part dutch shepard mix. He is so sweet and has a very gentle temperament. Unfortunately, he is also quite anxious. He comes from a home where he lived with multiple dogs and a large yard, and has gotten along with other dogs easily. He is also gentle and patient with young children, having had positive interactions with 3 and 4 year olds+. Unfortunately, he has quite a bit of anxiety that presents as running, hiding, and generally being fearful. He has never snapped at or showed aggression as a result of this anxiety, however. He used to be housetrained but has regressed and recently began marking inside. He is quite smart and would benefit greatly from a home able to provide consistent positive reinforcement, mental enrichment, and patience. We want to find him a loving home, because my mom can no longer provide for him. Please contact me with any questions or if you or someone you know might be interested.
