Max, neutered male, 1-year-old, 38-lbs If you would like to give Max a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Meet Max! Max is a mellow and cheerful young pup with loving nature. He is close to humans, always greet people with a big smile and non-stop wagging tail and hip. He is super smart and aimed to please, so is easy to train. Around the house he obeys rules, has good judgement, and good self-discipline. He waits patiently before eating his food, before going thru doorways, and when getting in and out of the car. He checks-in often with his human, sitting very still and gazing up politely. He loves the head/tummy rubs and cuddling that follows. He loves to eat and gets excited before taking a walk, but will heed to command well. Max is crate trained to sleep overnight and potty trained to go outside. His favorite pastime is his daily walks, and romping around with doggie friends in the park. Please watch his videos below to learn more about this goofy boy! About Max’ rescue: Max was one of the lucky TNR (trap/neuter/release) shelter dogs that was bailed out by the rescuer before his scheduled release date. Story
Watch his video: https://youtu.be/1UTLVDnYmGA Nash needs a foster or adopter! Nash is a young dog with such a sweet and affectionate disposition. As you can see from the video, he meets new people with gentleness and tolerance. Nash is very loving and looks towards his people for guidance. Nash came from the county shelter. He was scheduled to be put to sleep due to overcrowding but the volunteers loved him and banded together to get him pulled. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a place to live and is currently being boarded in a kennel. Nash has a very playful nature, and given his size, needs a yard to expend his energy. As a young dog, he does require regular exercise. Because he's been cooped up in a kennel for so long, it will take time for him to settle down to a new routine. He needs a chance to relieve all the pent-up stress he's been living under while at the shelter. Once a stable routine has been established, you'll see this endearing boy blossom. Nash is currently being boarded in Walnut Creek. Please contact Desiree at Martina's Rescue if interested in fostering or adopting him. desireeshaver@comcast.net or 510.575.5086 ** This is a courtesy listing. **

Story
Hi, I'm Luna!  I’m an approximately 7 year-old female with a super soft light sable coat. I'm a gentle girl with a very expressive face and the cutest head tilt. I'm also quite cuddly and love to give kisses and snuggles. Everyone who meets me says I'm a very sweet girl.   My DNA says I am mostly a white shepherd, a german shepherd and a bit of shiloh shepherd. I have great house manners and am fully crate trained but really don't need a crate. I can be left alone in the house and won't even think of destroying your stuff. I also sleep quietly through the night. I like my rope tugs, balls, chewy toys and anything that squeaks! So if you ever need to work on something or just need your own quiet time, just give me a fun toy and I’ll go off and entertain myself. And honestly, I really don’t mind sleeping in a little some days if you want to however I would like a family that likes to play ball, walk, and go for rides. I am an active girl and have to keep my fabulous shape.    I have gotten along with calm, respectful dogs that don't get upset when I get a little pesky. I've done several pack walks and have handled myself like a lady. I have a head halter during walks as it gently reminds me to pay attention but I have also gone without it.  I may do best as the only dog in the home because I really want my own person.  I have lived with other dogs before that understand my style. I LOVE going for rides in the car! My foster family takes me out to quite a few different places. So far, I love the quietness of the country and woods are my favorites - Sooo many good smells. I absolutely love using my nose.  I am NOT aggressive, just protective if I need to be. (I really like people).  I already have really good basic commands down, I am highly treat/ball mortivated and have excellent focus. I'm very bright, if I do say so myself, and need to be challenged with daily training, ball play, and FUN. I'm really looking forward to learning more and showing you just how great I am.   Older kids would be fine but I have not been around really small kids and they may just be too much for me. Oh, to keep my beautiful coat nice and soft, I don't mind my baths and brushing. Really, any attention is good attention and I love to be brushed. I would also make a great gardening companion and I love to jusst be by your side.  So, if you’re looking for a fun, sweet, active girl who is also beautiful, affectionate and smart, I may just be your perfect match.  If you’d like to meet me, I’ll be waiting in Newcastle. Story
Hi. I’m Finn!  I’m a 3-4 year old German Shepherd (mostly) and weigh about 65 pounds. I'm a happy, friendly boy and LOVE LOVE LOVE to meet new people. Sometimes I can't help it and want to say hi to everyone that passes by. I like other dogs, too, and enjoy a good game of "chase and be chased". I like it so much that some dogs think my greeting can be a little over the top but most want to play like me but I will chill if told to. I love walks and like to sniff everything. I'm great on leash as long as you use my front clip harness. I don't pull with the front clip and it's easy to put on. I’m working hard on training and feel I have mastered sit, down, stay, shake and off. I am really a perfect walking buddy. Even though I love other dogs, sometimes I need to be reminded to share. However, if it’s a tug-of-war rope then GAME ON. I’ll play tug all day long!  If you have a swimming spot nearby, I'm in, literally. I ride nicely in the car and jump right in. I'm ready to roll. My foster family takes me to German Shepherd meetups and I’ve done great!  Like I said, I'm a friendly boy just waiting for that perfect family that wants to have fun and go places. Don't get me wrong, I can be a chill, snuggle buddy too and love to cuddle my foster dad in the mornings.  If you are looking for a great out-and-about boy, come see me and we can be friendls.  I'll be waiting with my foster family in Mountain View.
