You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Approximately 4-5 year old Esme is part of a pack of dogs that lived in the desert for several years after their owner died. A good samaritan visited the pack several times a week to make sure they had food, water, and shelter. Esme was rescued with a few others in September 2020 but spent almost a year in boarding since there were no open fosters. Finally, in the summer of 2021 Esme was able to get into a foster home.Over the last few months, Esme has been learning what it's like to truly be a dog. She loves napping and chewing a good bone. Esme hasn't been around kids before, but she is very relaxed and hasn't ever shown any type of aggression. She is very shy with humans and apprehensive of new people. On the other hand, she completely comes out of her shell with other dogs. She loves hopping around and playing with the other pups in her foster home. She is currently living in a foster home with other dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as cats. She hasn't had a problem with any of the other pets.Esme will definitely need a special home, with a family that will be patient with her while she continues to grow and learns how to trust humans. She will likely never be super social with humans, so a fairly mellow home with at least 1 other dog is ideal. Esme does enjoy walks and walks nicely on a leash. She is crate trained, but not house trained. Rogue is a 1 yr old, male Dutch Shepherd. Rogue has an extremely high drive and will require a consistent working/sport home so that he is able to get the mental/physical stimulation he will need to succeed. Rogue is high is high energy, has incredible ball/toy drive as well as food drive. We have trained Rogue in explosives/firearms detection through world renowned Adlerhorst Intl and he is currently certified with one of our handlers. Rogue will continue to maintenance train in detection.He is a dual purpose dog and excels in bite work, training scenarios and developing more skills regularly. He also trains in obedience twice a week.Rogue is a true Dutch personality with a lot of drive.He only searches for affection from his handler and can be pretty neutral with people at first, until he builds a bond.Does good with female and neutered, non aggressive dogs as long as they aren't constantly harassing him. Rogue is available through our Zero to Hero program to an approved, very experienced working home only. He has too much drive to just do detection. Leo was born 2/27/2000 and we acquired him as a puppy from a private party when he was 4 mos old. We raised Leo in a home with 2/3 acre to run around and play with our other dog Kai who also has a profile here. My husband lost his job and we had to move from our home of 22 yrs into a mobile home park with no backyard. Leo is very strong and active. I am disabled and unable to walk him or provide the activity level he needs and deserves. Unfortunately, we can no longer provide the type of home and attention Leo requires. I would describe Leo as very personable and vocal when he wants attention. He is a playful, loving and friendly, although he has not had much interaction with other dogs, cats (we do have a cat in the home that he grew up with and loves chasing!) or children. Leo is leash trained, neutered and chipped.
