Story
Kinzie is the spunkiest, smartest, most energetic girl! She spent most of her life in the shelter but thanks to CBR saving her you wouldn’t even know it. She’s so intelligent, even just one training session with her she picks up so much! Her leash skills are great, she loves her crate, and is fully potty trained! Kinzie loves being outside, and would do great in an active home wanting to walk, run, or hike daily. She can be a little shy at first with new people, but feed her a treat and she warms up quickly. She’s fiercely loyal to her people and loves to please them. She loves affection and will do anything to earn your touch! She’s working on her jumping, so would probably be best in a home with adults only or older children. Kinzie is the sweetest girl and would love to be a part of your home!

He loves the head/tummy rubs and cuddling that follows. He loves to eat and gets excited before taking a walk, but will heed to command well. Max is crate trained to sleep overnight and potty trained to go outside. His favorite pastime is his daily walks, and romping around with doggie friends in the park. Story
Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie previously lived with another large dog and got along well with her. She would even snap at him sometimes and he would not really react. He simply wanted to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training at no additional cost to help ensure a successful adoption. To meet Obie, fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Once an application is filled out, our volunteers will reach out to you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Felix is an approximately 3 years old German shepherd mix. He has that BEAUTIFUL classic black and tan shepherd coat and is sure to get lots of compliments when out and about!Felix can be nervous when meeting new people and new dogs, so he does best with slow introductions and would thrive with an owner who is committed to continuing his training and socialization.Once comfortable, Felix is a silly, goofy, fun dog. He loves the outdoors and would do best in an active home. He enjoys going for walks and would make a fabulous hiking and/or jogging partner. He loves to use his nose and play fetch. However his most favorite place to be is sitting next to his person. He seems to prefer the ladies but has bonded with a couple males, it just takes a bit longer.Felix has gotten along with a large male shepherd and a medium sized pitbull in his foster home with slow introductions. He has made a few feline friends as well so shows cat potential when introduced properly.Felix is nervous in the car but he is slowly learning that the car means fun adventures!! He is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on the leash. He is very affectionate and eager to please. He loves his treats. A great dog with a ton of potential but needs someone who is going to give him time to feel comfortable and show just how awesome he is.To find out more about Felix please go online to CalPaws.org or send an email to cpk9rescue@gmail.com Adoption fees:   Dogs over 1 and under 6 years old: $400 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm and microchip each dog as well as spay or neuter. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Story
Ginger’s Story Ginger’s story is one of resilience. She is an all-around fantastic dog (house-trained, crate-trained, playful, and loyal) and prefers not to be around other dogs. Seven years ago, Ginger was adopted by a family with kids. She gave them five years of love and loyalty. We don’t know the full story, but we know they rehomed her when they got a new puppy. For about the next two years, Ginger was with an elderly couple in Richmond who had recently developed health issues like dementia and back problems. Four months ago, Ginger needed to be rehomed again. Trish took her in, but Ginger didn’t get along with Trish’s resident dog. So we had to find her a new home within a couple of days. That’s when Ginger ended up with Rucha & Rutvik. They are first-time dog fosters who live in a rental apartment in busy Mountain View.  We don’t know much about Ginger’s past day-to-day life but we can tell that apartment living is new to her. Ginger is learning new skills like seeing new people and dogs every day, meeting new humans, going to restaurants, and eating all kinds of Indian food. This exposure is helping her tremendously. She is extremely food-motivated and takes corrections well. Ginger is trying her best and her dog reactivity is getting better every day.  Dogs have so little control over their lives yet they have so much love to give. They try so hard, they adapt so easily and seamlessly into their human lives. Imagine being shuffled around like a piece of furniture, never quite settling in anywhere. It takes its toll, but Ginger's spirit remains unbroken. The best of humans would crumble where this dog has survived and thrived. Her fosters have grown to cherish her deeply and will have a hard time letting her go. Yet they know that apartment life, with its constant stream of new faces and dogs, is not the sanctuary Ginger deserves.  Let's find Ginger her forever home where she will be loved and cherished for the rest of her days. To find out more please go online to CalPaws.org or send an email to cpk9rescue@gmail.com Adult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies. Story
Meet Angus: Your Future Best Friend Angus is an affectionate 8-year-old rescue dog ready to find his forever home! This charming pup loves nothing more than chasing squirrels in the backyard and taking cozy cat naps with his favorite squishy toys. Angus enjoys leisurely strolls through the neighborhood and cuddling up with snuggly teenagers. Although he can be a bit wary of unfamiliar dogs, Angus is well-behaved in the house and sleeps soundly on his dog bed during the day and in the people bed at night. He knows commands like sit, down, stay, and off, though his focus can shift when squirrels or cats are nearby! Angus walks nicely on a leash, relishing the chance to sniff the flowers along the way. He prefers the backseat on car rides, where he can relax and enjoy the journey. Angus thrives in a home with a yard and a family that enjoys casual strolls, and he may do well with another dog his size, given a proper introduction. He adores people and dog-savvy kids but prefers to avoid being climbed on by little ones. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your days with love and laughter, Angus is the perfect match! Come meet him today and discover the joy he can bring to your life.   ##1809926##
