Story
Reddy is a very handsome boy with a brindle coat. Born @Oct 2019. He is a 45 pound Dutch Shepherd mix who is playful and energetic. He loves to run, walk on a leash, play with toys, and go in kiddie pools. He takes treats gently although he is possessive over is breakfast in his bowl but other than that he is not food aggressive. He came from a home where he and a very senior dog were not a good fit and the family chose to keep their old guy.  However, Reddy was 1 year old then, and with training he will smoothly transition to pretty much any situation.    *Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. &#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Story
7 years old. @75 lbs. Cleopatra sits on command, can be a little shy to start, but after a few minutes [or seconds], she's in close for some love and petting.  She loves to run and play with toys, and she gets along with some dogs. Does very well in the car. She will come in close for love, or walk or run beside you.  Her potential is enormous, and she's very intelligent and picks up on your needs very quickly. She takes treats very gently. Walks very well on the leash. Our dog trainer took Cleopatra to the dog park and on a hike and she loved it, she was so happy to smell everything and once it was time to go she wanted to go in the car and obediently came out of car upon arrival home.  GOOD GIRL! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Approximately 4-5 year old Esme is part of a pack of dogs that lived in the desert for several years after their owner died. A good samaritan visited the pack several times a week to make sure they had food, water, and shelter. Esme was rescued with a few others in September 2020 but spent almost a year in boarding since there were no open fosters. Finally, in the summer of 2021 Esme was able to get into a foster home.Over the last few months, Esme has been learning what it's like to truly be a dog. She loves napping and chewing a good bone. Esme hasn't been around kids before, but she is very relaxed and hasn't ever shown any type of aggression. She is very shy with humans and apprehensive of new people. On the other hand, she completely comes out of her shell with other dogs. She loves hopping around and playing with the other pups in her foster home. She is currently living in a foster home with other dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as cats. She hasn't had a problem with any of the other pets.Esme will definitely need a special home, with a family that will be patient with her while she continues to grow and learns how to trust humans. She will likely never be super social with humans, so a fairly mellow home with at least 1 other dog is ideal. Esme does enjoy walks and walks nicely on a leash. She is crate trained, but not house trained. If you can be that patient and loving home for this special girl, please apply to adopt Esme today.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 7:12 pm

Story
@4-5 years old and 51 lbs. German shepherd mix, Sarge is a sweet boy that was found by one of our rescue partners - he was left by his family when they moved out. He is friendly, active, and energetic. He loves going out for his exercise and play time in our big yards.  He'll run and play, or just be with or near you.  Your choice.  He's very intelligent and wants to please.   He gets along well with some dogs, likes to walk, and wants to be with people.  He really loves to be close to his people, and he fit in nicely with the two other dogs belonging to the neighbor who rescued him.   Willie Nelson is another shep - same size - young and very cool.  Good with youngsters and quite likely cats, too.
