Story
Meet Keeta! Keeta is a sweet, intelligent, and active 2 year old Border Collie, Dutch Shepherd x looking for a loving home where she can thrive and continue to learn. Initially shy and timid around new people, she requires slow introductions and a bit of patience to build trust. However, once she feels comfortable, she's a loyal and affectionate companion. Both the Dutch Shepherd and the Border Collie are herding dogs that are known for their intelligence, and hard working nature. Easy to train, and eager to please, they thrive in a mentally and physically stimulating environment. This energetic girl is a ball enthusiast and loves chasing after her favorite toy. She can get a bit bossy if you take too long to throw it, so a fast-paced game is her ideal playtime. With her high intelligence and strong work ethic, Keeta thrives in environments where she can be mentally and physically stimulated. She enjoys learning new tricks and would likely excel in activities like agility training. While Keeta hasn't been tested with other dogs, she may do well with a well-trained, calm canine companion who can respect her boundaries and pick up on her social cues. She would do best in a home with an active, experienced owner who can provide the stimulation, structure, and patience she needs to feel secure and continue growing.Keeta is ready to bond with someone who will challenge her, engage her mind, and give her the active lifestyle she craves. If you're looking for a smart, loyal, and playful companion, Keeta could be the perfect match! If you think Keeta could be a good fit for you, please fill out an application below.https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-kamloops/ Primary Color: Brown Brindle Weight: 25.2 Age: 2yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
Introducing Apolo! Handsome Apolo was found wandering the streets alone, just a young innocent pup who was trying to survive on his own.  Not for long tho, he was scooped up by a rescuer and has been lovingly cared for ever since.   He's blossomed into this beautiful Dutch Shepherd mix with the most beautiful gold merle coat.  He's a standout for sure!   True to his dominant breed as a Dutch Sheperd, he is lively, athletic, alert and intelligent.  With these characteristics, he would do well in agility training!  For now, he's a friendly young dog  who gets along with everyone, adults and kids alike.  He has not lived with a cat, but he has been tested in the company of a cat and did not exhibit anything other than curiosity!  Apolo would make a great active family dog, with or without a fellow dog to romp and play with! He's already great on a leash and is ready to make his forever connection with his future family. Smart as a whip and ready to impress! VETTING: Fully vaccinated Neutered/Spayed Dewormed SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma) Flea/tick/heartworm prevention No known medical issues or injuries PLEASE NOTE: Apolo is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval. ##2219482##

Story
Hazel is such an intelligent dog with a drive to learn and grow! If you're familiar with her breeds, they are very dedicated, smart and loyal dogs who have SO much to offer their person. If you're seeking for a dog who is constantly ready to fine tune her skills, and seeking a life of enrichment and adventure, Hazel is the one for you! This gal LOVES her people, and is thrilled to spend the day by your side, playing away with her toys and snuggling up on your lap. She loves pets and rubs, and leans her whole self into you as you dote on her! Hazel is SUPER toy motivated, and all do ANYTHING for the chance at a game of tug or fetch! She keeps herself busy for hours with her antics, and will thrive with a home who offers her toys as rewards during training sessions! She loves to shred soft toys however, so needs tougher chewer toys, or a home who doesn't mind her cloud piles.Miss Hazel does show a lot of excitement towards other dogs, but has shown reactivity towards them while in our care, and is seeking to be the only pet in the home. We think with show introductions and positive reinforcement, we think she can make great progress! She's so smart and motivated!Hazel would thrive in an adult orientated home, with lots of time and dedication to offer her! For her, its not just about being physically enriched, her mental simulation and enrichment is just as important- if not more important for her to succeed! She is seeking a home to offer her a force free, positive reinforcement based training system so she can keep being her very best self! Story
**He is currently in Seattle** Mukgoo is about 5 years old. He was found near an army base in Korea and immigrated to America around the age of 1 on President’s Day of 2020. He is an incredibly smart and lovable dog. He is kind and loves people (loves dogs and people). He will eat almost anything (except veggies). He can be a jumper when he gets very excited. He prefers households with another dog and a big yard to run around in but it’s not a non-negotiable. He has always adjusted well to whatever the circumstance. Overall, he’s a good dog and he’s got a lot of love to give. I’m having to give him up due to being unable to raise him in my current life stage. In no way, this is due to any bad behaviors or anything. He’s a really kind-hearted and sweet dog. Likes - He loves playing fetch (quickest way to his heart), rolling in the grass, puppycinos, ice cream, snow, people, dogs - Historically has liked lamb, fish skin, salmon, bully sticks, dental sticks, sweet potato, etc. In general, he loves to eat~ - Very social and prefers to greet other dogs and people, including dog parks, doggy day cares Dislikes - He dislikes bath but who does - He doesn’t like being alone but can manage a few hours if needed - No longer is a fan of veggies - Fireworks and big noises Things to Watch out for - Throwing up: If you let him freely eat grass, he’ll throw up. When he feels stressed, he can react by throwing up. - He can be independent when he is fixated on things. Just be patient with him and he will come back to focus on you. He is a people pleaser. - He rarely barks. He may bark when other dogs bark but even that is rare. He is more of a whiner. If he needs to let you know something, he will whine. - Not a counter surfer but can be if you let him Commands He knows his basic commands (sit, down, hand, etc.) and is open to learning new ones as well. Potty He is used to peeing and pooing outside. Once you create a regular spot and time for him, it’s clockwork. Otherwise, just be aware when he whines that it may be time to go. - At a high level, he knows “go potty” and “go poo” as a sign to go to the bathroom - He will rarely go pee or poo inside the home. Once in a million tries, a thing like that can happen during the night but he’s really sorry when he does. Leash He has never been fully off-leash, only in areas that condone it (home, backyard, dog park, etc.). He is not one to go off-leash and run away. He’ll run around and try to have you play with him. Keep him on a short leash if you need to focus on walking as he can veer away due to his interest in sniffing. Once on a short leash, he’ll understand and walk along. However, give him time to sniff as he is very curious with smells. Sleep He can sleep together or on his own if you’re in a different room or floor. He is also loves to cuddle up as well. When there’s fireworks, it’s recommended you sleep where he sees you because he’s afraid of the loud sounds. Food He is on one meal a day. If you give him two meals a day, he may not eat the first meal. Snacks though he loves. He knows how to sit and wait for food. He is currently on Costco’s salmon and sweet potato meal.

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Zeus⚡ * Toward People: Can be a little shy at first. However, once he warms up to people and the environment, he becomes kind and gentle even if someone lifts or touches him unexpectedly. Appreciates human warmth and prefers to lie against or be touched by people. * Toward Dogs: Is getting along well with other doggy friends at Adogs Center! Sometimes acts a little aggressively leading to possible fights when he gets to roused up during play with other dogs. Needs to be carefully watched when he plays with other dogs. * Separation Anxiety: It is unknown due to Zeus living at the Center with other dogs. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty at the Center. * Hygiene: Enjoys being brushed but is scared of having his nails trimmed. There should be frequent walks to allow the toenail to be trimmed naturally. * Walks: Slightly scared of a leash and needs to take time in wearing a leash. However, once outside, he does not pull it and walks well in whatever direction a walker pleases. Fears the sounds of cars and motorcycle by the street. * Car sick: Has no carsickness. Has no trouble getting up and down the car! 💌Special Note💌 * Is very gentle and will not bite his caretaker in any situation. * As he occasionally gets into confrontations with other dogs, it would be best if he were the only dog. * Because all the dogs poop in the same area at the Center, Zeus has a habit scatophagy. Any excrement should be cleaned right away. (Scatophagy can be remedied quickly with a training at home.) * Missing his left ear due to a birth defect, but Zeus has no problem with hearing!
