Story
Casper is a handsome, solid white, shorthair ( tail-less) cat that is for a CAT SAVVY individual! He's very intelligent and resourceful and has a lot of "outdoor stray" kitty skills! He was brought into a S. Carolina County shelter & never claimed. He is very athletic and requires a good amount of mental stimulation such as running around the house, climbing a kitty tree, playing with balls, stuffy toys, catnip mice and kitty game puzzles! He sometimes gets very rambunctious and he will mouth your hand a little bit, but he is a fresh and feisty boy not meaning any harm! He loves human companionship and seeks out human attention and affection. He is a gymnast for sure, curious and quick and he would most assuredly be a very good housemate that would keep your indoor premises free of rodents! Casper must remain an indoor cat, he enjoys sitting in the window to admire the view and watch the birds! He is a solid built boy, a very good eater and likes his kitty snacks! He will play with the interactive ring toy with the balls and also likes catnip mice, jingle balls and the bungee cord toy with the feathers! He will play with almost any toy, whether it be intended for cat or dog, and he is able to amuse himself for a long periods of time. He has a kitty bed that he enjoys, but he prefers to flip it over on top of himself and sleep underneath, peeping out and watching everything! He has accompanied me on trips via car to the stores (in a cat carry bag) and he is not easily frightened by outdoor noises. However, he is frightened by household noises such as window fans, vacuum cleaners, printers, etc... He has been working on adjusting to typical household noises and he is doing very well. He now enjoys watching some evening TV and has acclimated to the sounds that air conditioners & printers make, but he still doesn't care for the vacuum cleaner! Although he has tolerated the small dogs (very laid back dogs!) he does enjoy chasing them around in circles (& vise versa) but he has a tendency to play "rough". A home with no other pets would probably be best and someone that will continue being very patient with him! He is neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped!

Story
Beautiful Schnee ("Snow") is an affectionate and loving boy! He came to us via rescue, as his previous family surrendered him to a shelter. He is totally deaf and due to his handicap, he has some misunderstood behaviors. Firstly, he startles very easily if you approach him and he does not see you. In the past, he would turn around quickly with his paws and claws extended, ready to defend himself. He has built up a trust with us and knows that we have been compassionate, loving, and patient. He no longer does this with us. We hold him and hug him daily, and he has relaxed and has bonded with us. He is very affectionate and sweet natured, and loves making the "biscuits" in his comfy bed or on your bed as well! Also, he requires mental stimulation during the day that he takes in through his other senses. He has a small ball that lights up and flashes different colors and of course, it fascinates him! We have provided toys to him that move, have bright colors, and vibrate instead of making any noise. He very much enjoys sitting where he may stare out the window for hours, just watching birds and other wildlife in the meadow. At night, when it is dark and he does not see people walking around, he must feel isolated and he howls incessantly until he sees someone. He now wears a close fitting sweater or shirt all the time, and this makes him feel more secure and he howls a lot less. He has gotten along with a small, gentle Chihuahua, but we thinks it's best that he not have a dog in his home. He is okay with one other gentle cat and slow, proper, introductions would be needed. A home with no children (as his behaviors can be unpredictable) and low/no active home is necessary. He wears a collar with tracking device in case (goodness forbid!) he should ever escape the house... as he would become very frightened an difficult to find. A very special home is necessary for this sweet, very special boy.

Story
Poppy is a 10-year-old gentle girl who is friendly, playful and social. She likes to be with people, and also be on her own sometimes, explore her world, sit in high places and look out a window at birds and chipmunks. For a napping place she loves a cozy cave, such as a soft blanket in a box in a closet or a soft bed on top of a chair. Poppy is a social eater. She greets you purrfully at mealtimes and loves to be petted or brushed while she enjoys her chow. She is very good and proper at using her litter box. In her first home, Poppy didn't feel safe or wanted. There were rambunctious dogs, bullying cats, and people who didn't pay attention to her. Poppy would love to have several people to relate to, rather than being a companion to one or two. The perfect home for Poppy would be a spacious place with a cat-savvy family who like to dote on a kitty and play with her every day, who know to be gentle and encouraging, so that Poppy can feel safe and loved. Story
Henri is a two-year-old gentle and cheerful kitty and he is a LOVE! If you are looking for a snuggle friend who wants a close bond with his human, look no further. Henri is not only cuddly and fun, but he will follow you around the house, enjoying your company like a puppy. He is very playful and likes to race around after toy balls or just for the fun of it. He also loves to take naps with his humans, warming one's chest, being calm and comforting. Henri had a hard time before he came to the Shelter, living on the streets as a stray, being beaten up by other cats. But that didn't dim his happy spirit. He would do best in a home as a single cat with a person or family that can provide him a safe indoor environment with a lot of love and playtime. Story
Meet Feebie and her brother Monty. These beautiful bonded siblings were surrendered to us after their owner passed away. Their mother was a street cat in a neighboring town, who looked just like Monty. We will only adopt them out as a pair. Feebie is a 7-year-old calm, regal and independent lady with striking eyes. She is a grey and white tigress, a gentle beauty and a very cautious kitty. She likes to watch things from high above, keeping her distance until she feels sure that all is secure. Until then she might give a hiss or two. When she starts to know a person, she shows it by slow blinking her eyes. Eventually her curiosity takes over and she will move closer. When she feels safe, she is an active, curious and cheerful cat who likes to explore her surroundings and play with wand toys. Monty is a 6-year-old easy going fellow and has the most luxurious, silky coat of black long fur that compliments his stunning light green eyes. He is so handsome, and he knows it. He loves to be brushed and will reward you with blissful purrs. He is a love bug who likes to be petted and be near people. He enjoys batting around wand toys, sitting high on top of a cat tower, or snoozing on a couch. Bonding with Feebie is special because it takes patience and understanding to earn her trust. Every step towards winning her over feels precious. With Monty by her side, she finds the confidence to bond with humans again after her beloved person passed away. She has made great strides at the Shelter to come out of her shell and will now walk up to new visitors who are calm and in possession of a bag of treats! Monty and Feebie are looking for a quiet home with a patient, cat-savvy person who will welcome them both, and who can give them a safe haven with a reliable routine. They will both be loving and loyal companions. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter. Story
Anton is a SUPER sweet, cuddly, loving 5-months-old kitten looking for his forever home. Anton loves to curl up on your lap and purr, he enjoys playing gently with the ribbon wand, batting hanging balls on towers.Anton would make a wonderful companion for many years to come. He would be happy with a family that can provide him multiple people to snuggle, older gentle children considered. Anton has been a single kitten and therefore hasn't learned how to play gently with other cats. But he could become a nice playmate to another young, friendly kitty if he is carefully introduced. Anton grew up with dogs and may do well with cat-friendly dogs in his household. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter.
