Story
Bootsie is a 3-year-old gentle, cuddly tuxedo boy. He was rescued in the middle of winter and has recovered from a long period of neglect and hardship. Bootsie is the sweetest lap cat, warm and snuggly. He will turn on his side and enjoy long, gentle belly-rubs, purring blissfully. Bootsie makes friends easily and has so much love to give. He was bullied by other cats and dogs when he was fending for himself outside, therefore he would thrive best as an only pet. Bootsie is looking forward to a loving and safe home with people who care. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter. Please visit our website at http://www.kingdomanimalshelter.com/adopt-a-cat.html to learn about our adoption process.April 1, 2025, 9:33 pm

Story
Meet Mercutio! Mercutio is a friendly, handsome, charming, 5-year-old orange and white tabby with a heart of gold. He is the first to greet you at the door when you arrive home and you can count on him to lay beside you on the couch seeking attention and affection. When Mercutio isn't snuggling up with his humans or his brother, he is playing with string toys or watching the world out the window. Mercutio is bonded with his 5 year old brother, Benvolio. Together they are looking for a loving home to provide them with the companionship they desire. They would do best in a home without other cats or dogs. If you are interested in meeting Mercutio (and Benvolio) complete an adoption application at www.queencitycatsvt.org.

Story
Meet Benvolio: Benvolio is a 5-year-old, orange and white cat who’s as sweet as he is cuddly. With his soft, plush fur and gentle nature, Benvolio is the purrfect companion for someone who enjoys quiet moments and heartfelt connection. Though he’s a bit shy at first, once he feels comfortable in his new home, he’ll melt right into your arms, especially when you give him those oh-so-delicious belly rubs. Benvolio is laid-back and easygoing, always happy to curl up in a cozy spot and watch the world go by. He’s curious and loves to explore his environment, but he’s never in a rush. His ideal day consists of lounging by your side, napping in the sun, and enjoying a good chin scratch. Benvolio is bonded with his brother, Mercutio. These two are the best of friends and bring out the best in each other. If you're looking for a sweet, low-key cat who’s full of love, Benvolio is ready to find his forever family with his brother, Mercutio. Is Benvolio and Mercutio the perfect pair for your home? If so, complete and adoption application at www.queencitycats.vt.org

Story
Meet Bowie! She's a perfectly spunky, one-year-old girl who makes an excellent office mate. She was found left behind in a Burlington apartment and the animal-loving manager made sure she wouldn't end up on the streets all alone. Bowie has come a long way since being rescued; she was very frightened and cautious of humans at first but with gentle care and patience, she has shown her softer, more playful side. Her face and that one little freckle are irresistible, not to mention her squeaky meow that sweetly asks for your attention. She enjoys cat nip, string toys, chasing small toys and napping on the desk. Bowie seems unbothered by gentle cats, but more reactive or territorial cats would not be a good fit for her. She would do best with someone who will take the time to get to know her and let her get acclimated on her own schedule. Bowie loves hanging out with her foster dad while he works, but she's ready to find her own person and continue her journey to live her best life possible. If you're interested in meeting this cutie pie, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.

Story
**Spirit Cat** Kitten is an adorable, eight-month-old tabby kitten. She was rescued with her Siamese-mix mom and two siblings (Rainbow and Surprise). Unfortunately for Kitten, the socialization window had already closed for her despite the three of them spending plenty of time in foster care with loving humans. She is very food-motivated, is a great hunter, is playful, and enjoys the company of other cats. Kitten and her brother Rainbow are available for adoption as spirit cats. Perhaps in the future (and in her preferred environment) she'll realize that humans are not so scary after all. If you're interested in meeting Rainbow and Kitten, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.
