Story
This beefy boy is Colossus! He's got a personality as large as his body! 19 pounds! Colossus is around 4 years old and gets along with most everyone! He can get a bit overstimulated during play so we'd recommend older children or cat savvy kids. He is FIV+. He gets along with other cats, dependent on their personality. Because of his FIV+ status, he should be in a home where he's not fighting/biting other cats or the only cat in the household or in a household with other FIV+ cats. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.

Story
Meet Sharon-- a super sweet, 1 year old female domestic shorthair cat. Sharon is affectionate and playful and looking to be the only cat in your household due to her Feline Leukemia positive status. Sharon is currently in good health but FeLV cats do have shortened lifespans and it is contagious to other cats. We still think Sharon deserves the chance to live her life to the fullest in a home where she can be your one and only feline, even if its only for a few years! Sharon is good with kids and adults and seems to be open to meeting dogs too! Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Story
Pelikan is a reserved and independent cat who values her space and tranquility. Slow to warm up, she prefers a calm environment where she can take her time to build trust. Though introverted, Pelikan forms deep bonds with those who show her patience and understanding. Best suited for a home with older, quiet children, Pelikan thrives in a setting that respects her boundaries. With time, she reveals a loving and loyal side, becoming a gentle and steadfast companion. For those who appreciate a quiet bond, Pelikan is the perfect match.
