Story
Meet Miss Maizie! Maizie is an 8 year old cat that was transferred to us from a local animal shelter. She had a hard time settling in at the previous shelter, and she also struggled when she first came to us, letting everyone know just how much she disliked the other cats! Hisses, growls and even some swatting were part of her daily routine...that is until she got the chance to be an office cat. Now we can see the cat the Maizie really is! Since getting her own space, she has blossomed into an affectionate and active lady. She loves getting head scratches, playing with gentle wand toys, enjoys being brushed, and taking over your work space! Maizie would do well in a quiet home without other pets or young children, and with someone who is on the cat savvy side. She does need someone who can read her body language - she knows what she likes, but she'll let you know when she's had enough. Someone who works from home or retired would be a great match for Maizie, as she doesn't like to be alone for long. With questions about Maizie, or any of our other adoptable cats, please contact Olivia at olivia.warburton@rispca.org

🧡 Meet Mila – Our One-of-a-Kind Orange Queen! 🧡 Hello, my furiends! Mila is a rare gem—a gorgeous 2.5-year-old female orange tabby, which makes her extra special! But what truly makes her shine is her sweet, gentle nature. 🌟 This former supermom has retired from kitten duty and is ready for a life of love, snuggles, and well-deserved relaxation. Mila adores soft head and neck scratches, and if you’re lucky, she’ll even roll over for some belly rubs! 😻 She’s a quiet girl who enjoys cozy spots, peaceful moments, and gazing out the window at the world outside. But don’t be fooled—Mila still has playful bursts of energy and loves watching Cat TV, whether it’s birds outside or fun videos on a screen! 📺🐦 ✨ Mila’s Purrfect Home: 🏡 Would love a calm, quiet home 🐾 Gets along with other cats but would also be happy as the only feline 🐶 No experience with dogs 💕 Thrives on affection and gentle companionship If you’re searching for a loving, soft-hearted kitty who finds joy in the simple things, Mila is the purrfect match! 🧡 Could she be your new best friend? 😽 Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! Story
Meet Hen-rieta – The Cat TV Connoisseur & Zoomie Queen! 📺🐾✨ This gorgeous calico beauty is a true tale of transformation! Once a shy mama who didn’t know how to play, Hen-rieta has blossomed into a zoomie champion, a ball-batting pro, and even a part-time parkour enthusiast. Watching her kittens have fun taught her the joy of toys, and now she’s making up for lost time—when she’s not glued to her favorite pastime: Cat TV! 🎬🐦 Hen-rieta is all sweetness and charm, but she likes to take things at her own pace. She loves being petted—when she’s in the mood. If not? She’ll simply slink under your hand like the graceful queen she is. But when she decides it’s time for head scratches and belly rubs, get ready for some serious purring! A calm, quiet home will be her happy place, and while she does well with respectful cats, she’s gained so much confidence that she’d also be content as your one and only. With a little patience at first, Hen-rieta will show you just how loving and special she truly is. Are you ready to spoil this sweet girl with love (and endless Cat TV marathons)? 💕 Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! Story
Presenting Patty: A Star in the Making! 🌟 In a world full of famous Pattys—Patty Duke, Patti LaBelle, chicken patties (yum!)—let us introduce you to our Patty, a sweet tabby kitten with a heart full of love and a future as bright as the Florida sun (shoutout to Auntie Patty!). Patty is still learning that humans are pretty awesome. She may be shy at first, but patience + push-up tube treats = instant bestie! Once you’ve won her over, she melts into a cuddle bug, loving face scratches, kisses, and even being held—on her terms, of course. 🎾 Playtime is where Patty shines! She’s got some serious catching skills—toss a sparkle ball or toy mouse, and watch her snag it mid-air like a pro! And when she feels comfy, she shows it by rolling onto her back in the most adorable way. 🐾 Patty is all about family! She absolutely adores her siblings Drumstick, Wings, and Nugget, and her mama Hen-rieta is her bestie. She would love to go home with one of them or to a family with another gentle, confident kitty to help her feel safe. 🏡 Patty’s Dream Home: 🐾 A calm, quiet environment where she can blossom 🐱 A kitty companion (bonus points if it’s a sibling or her mama!) 💖 A patient adopter who understands that good things take time If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and lovable companion who just needs a little patience and a whole lotta love, Patty is ready to be your leading lady! 💕 Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! Story
Hello, my furiends! Say hello to Apricot This fruity floofball is 10 months old and ready to meet and greet you. Apricot is a pretty female tabico who may give you a shy little hiss at first, but once she settles in and feels comfy around you, this fluff is the friendliest, sweetest fluff you could meet! She enjoys playing but she's more interested in watching those feathered friends outside. A cozy window seat is what this girl seeks! Apricot is a Mama's girl and enjoys cuddling, climbing, and exploring. Apricot would be OK in a home with respectful kids, but we are unsure how she would be in a home with dogs or other animals. She is the last of her litter and loves her mama, Peach, so it would be wonderful if these two could be adopted together, but would be ok to separate for the right homes. Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! If you see this post, we are still accepting applications for this cat(s)/kitten(s). Story
This dynamic duo is STILL waiting for a forever home together. They are our longest cat residents and they desperately need someone to give them a chance. Sure, they are a little older and aren't adorable kittens anymore (now they are stunning & sophisticated adults!) but they are going to make amazing additions to one lucky family. Autumn (female) and Pumpkin (male) are a bonded pair. They are both 4 years old and are Domestic Short Hair cats. Autumn has a gorgeous Torti coat and Pumpkin has a handsome orange coat and electric, mesmerizing eyes. They can be a little shy initially but they are extremely sweet once they warm up to you. They are settling in at the rescue and are coming out of their shell a little at a time. They definitely find comfort in being together and we know they will bring a lot of joy in to your home.
