Story
Meet Beaux, the ultimate cuddle companion! This 4-year-old gentleman is as sweet and chill as they come. His favorite things in life? Snuggling up with his person and soaking up all the head scratches he can get. One of his fosters even joked that having Beaux around instantly lowered their stress levels by 50%—he’s just that soothing!Due to his time outdoors, Beaux is FIV+, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit! He’s currently living peacefully with FIV-negative cats, as the virus is only spread through deep bite wounds. He’s non-reactive to other cats and would do well in a multi-cat home, or as your one and only! While he hasn’t been tested with dogs or kids, his easygoing nature suggests he’d adjust well with proper introductions. If you're looking for a loving, laid-back companion (and maybe a little stress relief), Beaux is your guy—apply today!Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be passed onto dogs or humans. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who have not been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing bowls, or litter boxes. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they live indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and a good diet. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below. https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/______________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Ideal Home: Anywhere that can give her attention is purr-fect!Qualities: Outgoing, Lap cat, AffectionateWe may not be photographers, but we can totally picture you and Stitches together! Stitches is a 10 month old Tortie charmer who loves to be near you. This girl enjoys nothing more than cuddling in on a good lap for snuggles and head scritches, and isn't shy about lovingly insisting those pets continue for as long as she is there! Ok, maybe there's one thing she enjoys maybe just as much as her attention, and that's climbing her favorite cat tower and running around with her fun toys! Stitches is very curious and incredibly loving. She has not met other pets but she saw the resident mini doxie in her foster home and she didn't seem to mind his presence. We are confident that Stitches is the sweetest girl we ever met, and she has her paws crossed her forever person is reading all about her right now! We are delighted to honor Stitches as a CATalyst cat, making her fellow feline dreams come true one paw at a time. If you think Stitches could be your match, please fill out an application today!*You can meet Stitches at PetSmart in Warwick today! Please no phone calls to the store, our team at Ten Lives is the best source to answer any questions you may have!___________________________CATalyst cats:At Ten Lives, we believe in saving the most at-risk cats of our community. Many times, these cats require extraordinary medical care and extensive stays in their foster homes before they are ready for adoption. But we don’t think time or money should ever get in the way of a cat receiving the care they deserve! To help us care for these cats, we have increased fees for other cats who are in high demand–such cats aid us in catalyzing change within our community. When you adopt a CATalyst cat, you aren’t just providing a forever home for them; you’re helping many other cats at Ten Lives, like our Forgotten Felines!Thank you for allowing us to continue our life-saving work!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives!
