A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. Story
This staff favorite, Tarot, is a special girl with a heart full of potential and a world all her own.Tarot is blind, and her sensitivity to changes in her environment makes her a bit cautious at first. In the shelter, she has shown signs of stress, such as hiding and avoiding touch, but this is simply her way of navigating a world filled with unfamiliar people.Tarot is looking for a patient adopter (or adopters) who will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. She would love a quiet, secure space to decompress, ideally away from heavy foot traffic and loud noises. It may take her a few days or even weeks to adjust, but with your understanding and attention to her body language, she will gradually open up.Due to her blindness, Tarot thrives in a calm, predictable environment with plenty of hiding spots and vertical surfaces like cat trees. A cat-savvy adopter who can read her signs and respect her boundaries will help her feel more at ease.Tarot is looking for someone as special and as sweet as she is. She prefers to initiate interactions at her own pace, and with gentle patience, she will start seeking out your company and affection.Tarot could do well with a calm, cat-savvy dog or another cat, but she will need her own space and a gentle approach. Children should be experienced with shy, sensitive cats.If you`re looking for a sweet, quiet companion who just needs a little extra time to adjust, Tarot might be the perfect match for you. Please don`t overlook this very special gal—she is truly one of a kind.If you think Tarot could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by MSPCA at Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours from 11:30am to 5pm daily—no appointment or application needed. You are welcome to enter our cat rooms during open hours. Story
Selma is sleeping on the bed and purring when petted. She is food motivated and weight about 14 pounds and is losing weight quickly. She and her sister lived in a room and like to hide but you can win them over by petting them for a quick purr or feeding them treats. They have been to the vet for their spay, shots and always use their litter box. They need a quiet home, but are coming out of their shells. They are extremely bonded and will sit on top of each other causing you to wonder if the bottom cat can breathe. If you are interested in loving these two fatties, contact Jill at 978-969-2389 or dsajill1@yahoo.com

Story
Prince Charming is living the dream, sleeping on his favorite bean bag chair in his foster home. He enjoys playing with a string toy and saying hello with a finger to his nose. He even likes to be petted. An experienced adopter is good, but anyone with a quiet, adult only home will enjoy his presence. He becomes more snuggly every day. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Karina was living in a DPW parking lot. This poor baby had three litters of kittens outside, before PAWS could rescue her. She's extremely shy, but now, after a year, enjoys sitting near her loving foster mom, when she works from home. That's encouraging progress! Her best home will be with an experienced cat owner in a quiet home without other pets or children.

Story
Roxy is a 12 year old sweetheart who has been through rough times the last few years bouncing between homes until she was dropped off at a vet hospital. She has the most incredible purr and loves getting pets and rubs. Unfortunately, she weighs 20 pounds which greatly affects her mobility. We are working on getting her braver, helping her to lose weight, and working with the vets to help her become more mobile.

Story
Hi there , I would love to re home my 3 year old cat. Cliche to say its not her its me. I need her to have a home she has space in to explore. She spent 3 years with me and my new roommate brought a dog who chases her back into my room. This is no way for a cat to live. There are personal reasons for myself my mental state is not the best and I know she deserves a happy home which I cannot provide at the moment. Being honest with myself I would love for her to spend her days in a happy home with space. She is a very independent smart cat, very gentle and will be okay with kids as long as they are gentle with her, if not she will run away under the bed.
