Story
MEET DIXON!Here`s what her foster mom has to say about her:Dixon is a very sweet and gentle girl. She absolutely adores head rubs and petting, and she`s incredibly affectionate. She`s also quite the talker and has a lot to say while living in her foster home. Lately, she’s been expressing that she`s ready for her forever home with someone who will give her all the TLC that she deserves.Dixon has gotten along well with our laid-back cats but doesn’t do well with cats that may challenge her. She does great with the dog in the home. Her absolute favorite thing to do is play with her wand toy!Dixon is diabetic and requires insulin twice a day. She also has sensitive skin, so she is on a special diet called Hills Z/D. It is recommended that whoever adopts Dixon has a good relationship with their veterinarian.Interested in meeting Dixon? Please call KVHS during our open hours to set up a scheduled meet and greet!

Story
Meet Minow! This little fishy enjoys swimming by himself! He`s an independent, spirited, and shy guy. With some people, he`s a sweet dude who enjoys cheek scratches, with others he prefers to stay tunneled under his bed! Minow does have hyperthyroid and is on a daily medication for it! He`ll need someone who has a good relationship with their vet to continue getting the correct medication! Minow would love a home without kids; they are not his favorite thing.Interested in Minow? swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours!

Story
Meet Chester! This guy lives the life of hiding in cozy beds, snacking on wet food, and sprawling around on cat nip! Chester is a shyer guy; he was originally a stray, so we don`t know what this big dude has been through! He`s shown us his quiet and mellow side, will you be the one to get his playful and talkative side!? His ideal home would be someone who has experience with scared kitties, a low foot traffic home, and older/cat savvy kids! This means kids who are used to cats, and know how to give them their space!Important:Chester did test positive for FIV. This is feline immune virus, a disease that can weaken his immune system. FIV is only transferrable from cat to cat, dogs nor humans can get it! This is why he must remain an indoor only kitty! FIV cats don`t need any special medications or diets; we just recommend having a good relationship with your vet, and keeping him on his yearly vaccinations!Interested in Chester? Story
Meet Scribe! This dude would rather scribble down why he likes his personal space, than talk about it. He`s a quiet, timid, and nervous dude who is learning how to be a house cat! His ideal person would be someone who is used to shy kitties and helping them come around to humans! After being caught as a stray, this dude ended up testing positive for FIV, which is a feline immune virus. If he gets sick, he has a harder time overcoming the sickness than a negative cat would. FIV is only transferable from cats to cats. He can only go to a home with other FIV+ kitties, or no other cats. We are unsure how he does with dogs, although he`s respectfully pass on young children.Interested in meeting Scribe? Swing on down to meet Scribe today!

Story
Meet Annie! The sweet, shy, senor girl is looking for a new quiet home! She enjoys soft blankets, gentle scratching, and no loud sounds; young children are a pass for this timid girl. Annie`s ideal home would be someone whose patient and understanding that she`ll take time to warm up and show her real personality! She`s a kitty who gets overwhelmed easily, and due to this, we are recommending no other animals.Interested in meeting Annie? Swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours!

Story
Meet Malala! Malala is a super sweet young lady who has been on quite the journey! Malala was sadly hit by a car which resulted in her hips being fractured in 4 places. After a few days of pain medication and rest, Malala had her feline triple test which revealed she is FiV positive. Malala needed to go to foster to have strict cage rest and luckily a foster with another FiV+ kitty was able to take her! While she began to recover in foster, she started to show her true self. She`s an absolute sweet heart and loves everyone she meets, be it children or other cats! She is full of personality and love! She loves to give kisses and receive petting. After several months of cage rest, Malala had several xrays and it was determined her hips had unfortunately not healed properly. She may develop issues over time and for this reason, her forever home will need to have a good relationship with their vet. Malala is also on a hip and joint supplement. She may walk with a permanent limp. She also sometimes shakes her back feet like she thinks there is something stuck to them.Malala was fostered in a home with children and other cats. She does well with calm cats and children who respect her boundaries and understand she doesn`t like her hips touched. Malala is on medication for life for her hips. This medication is call dasuquin and she prefers the treat form vs the kind that is sprinkled over her food.If you`d like to meet Malala, please stop by KVHS during adoption hours!
