Story
Meet Baby, a little lady who’s ready to find a peaceful, loving home. When she first arrived at the shelter as a stray, she required immediate medical care, and our dedicated team got her back on track, helping her feel her best. Baby sometimes finds the shelter’s hustle and bustle overwhelming and often retreats to her cozy cubby for a bit of peace. But once she has time to warm up, this sweet girl reveals her affectionate side and truly enjoys quiet snuggles.Baby has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus, so she’ll need to be the only cat in her home—unless her new feline friend is also FeLV+. Because of her special needs, her new family should have an established relationship with a veterinarian. We also recommend using “good judgment” when introducing her to respectful kids and cat-savvy dogs. If you`re looking for a gentle, devoted companion, Baby may be the one for you!

Story
Meet Cruella, a special kitten with a heart defect who’s looking for an equally special human. While her lifelong medical condition requires regular vet care, it doesn’t slow her down—Cruella is full of energy, loves making biscuits, and adores snuggling! If you have a place in your heart for a kitten who needs a little extra care and love, come meet Cruella at BHS!

Story
`Hello, I`m Hephaestus. I`m a bit shy to start, but once I get to know you, I`m all purrs and cuddles. I prefer a patient environment where I can learn to relax and bask in your love as well as a window. I`m still learning to decompress after living outdoors, but you`ll find my company comforting and my purrs soothing!`Hephaestus has feline Immunodeficiency virus (FIV+), but can live a long, healthy life with a little extra care. He would only be able to live in a home with other FIV+ cats, or be the lone ranger. We recommend using `good judgment` when introducing him to respectful kids and cat-savvy dogs. Adopters must establish a vet relationship to keep him healthy and happy. If you are interested in meeting with him, stop by BHS!

Story
Meet Skip, a young guy who came into the shelter as a stray and is adjusting to his new world daily. A bit on the timid side, he is initially hesitant around humans, preferring the company of his fellow felines. We would recommend him going home with one of his siblings, or to a home with another feline to show him how to “Cat”. We recommend using “good judgment” when introducing him to cat-savvy dogs and older respectful kiddos. With time and patience we are sure he will adjust into a great companion.
