Story
Meet Baby, a little lady who’s ready to find a peaceful, loving home. When she first arrived at the shelter as a stray, she required immediate medical care, and our dedicated team got her back on track, helping her feel her best. Baby sometimes finds the shelter’s hustle and bustle overwhelming and often retreats to her cozy cubby for a bit of peace. But once she has time to warm up, this sweet girl reveals her affectionate side and truly enjoys quiet snuggles.Baby has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus, so she’ll need to be the only cat in her home—unless her new feline friend is also FeLV+. Because of her special needs, her new family should have an established relationship with a veterinarian. We also recommend using “good judgment” when introducing her to respectful kids and cat-savvy dogs. If you`re looking for a gentle, devoted companion, Baby may be the one for you!

Story
`Hello, I`m Hephaestus. I was a bit shy during my start at BHS, but now that I`ve settled in, I`m all purrs and cuddles! I`ve learned to decompress after living outdoors, and am ready for the spoiled house cat life!`Hephaestus has feline Immunodeficiency virus (FIV+) and would only be able to live in a home with other FIV+ cats or be the sole king of the household. Hephaestus` delightful personality will fill your home with love and laughter. We recommend using `good judgment` when introducing him to respectful kids and cat-savvy dogs. Adopters must establish a vet relationship to keep him healthy and happy. If you are interested in meeting with him, stop by BHS!

Cobra and Anaconda are a bonded pair looking to go home together! We are recommending them go to a laid back home and have the potential to go with older kiddos who can respect their space when needed. They are considered `good judgment` with other feline friends and calm cat-savvy dogs. While this duo may not be the first to welcome you with open paws, it`s essential to understand that they are navigating a world filled with unfamiliar faces and constant commotion. Their reserved demeanor is a way of coping with the stress of shelter life. Anaconda has made remarkable strides becoming more comfortable with humans and Cobra is sure to follow along with time and patience. If you`re open to take on the work of winning over these little rascals, you will find yourself with lifelong companions.

Pasty is a quiet cat who just needs a little time and patience to feel at home. She’s looking for a calm, understanding family to help her decompress and settle into her new surroundings. When it comes to other pets and kids, Pasty would thrive with slow, respectful introductions. We recommend using `good judgment` with other cats, cat-savvy dogs, and children who understand the importance of giving her space. If you’re ready to offer Pasty the time and love she needs, come on down to BHS, we would be happy to introduce you two!
