Story
MEET DIXON!Here`s what her foster mom has to say about her:Dixon is a very sweet and gentle girl. She absolutely adores head rubs and petting, and she`s incredibly affectionate. She`s also quite the talker and has a lot to say while living in her foster home. Lately, she’s been expressing that she`s ready for her forever home with someone who will give her all the TLC that she deserves.Dixon has gotten along well with our laid-back cats but doesn’t do well with cats that may challenge her. She does great with the dog in the home. Her absolute favorite thing to do is play with her wand toy!Dixon is diabetic and requires insulin twice a day. She also has sensitive skin, so she is on a special diet called Hills Z/D. It is recommended that whoever adopts Dixon has a good relationship with their veterinarian.Interested in meeting Dixon? Please call KVHS during our open hours to set up a scheduled meet and greet!

Story
Meet Imelda! She`s looking for a specific home; one that will give her plenty of time to adjust to not only being around humans, but as a house kitty! You see, Imelda was found as a stray with her kittens. It`s unknown how much human contact she has had previously, if at all. She`s a quiet, timid, and mellow girl here at a shelter; we are hoping to see her personality bloom with a patient person! We believe she may do well with a more social kitty to show her the ropes! As for dogs, it`s unknown how she is with them! Interested in meeting Imelda? Swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours!

Story
Meet Chill Bro!This girl came to KVHS as an under socialized kitty. She`s looking for a person dedicated to giving her time to come around as a house cat! She`s pretty shut down here, and we haven`t been able to see her real personality! We do believe she`d thrive in a home with no young children, and that she might like to have a more outgoing/ friendly cat to hang out with!Interested in Chill Bro? Story
Lenora is a sweet but independent kitty looking for an indoor only home. She would like a home without other animals and kids as they make her very nervous. Lenora loves big comfy cat beds, napping in sunny spots, and sitting in windows. She also loves catnip toys, cat trees, and treats. Lenora will need extra time to adjust to a new home as moving stresses her out, but once settled she will be super sweet and outgoing.

Story
Pal is a handsome 4-year old male cat who was brought to us from an overcrowded home, with several other kitties. He absolute loves other cats and comes right out of his shell when they`re around. A home with another cat is a must and our staff would love to suggest a friend if you would like to welcome two cats to your home!We think he will do best in a quiet, calm home where he can take his time getting comfortable. Pal was very scared when he first arrived at the shelter, but has slowly settled in and now enjoys attention from staff he is comfortable with. Pal especially loves butt scratches and will rub up against you until you give him attention. He loves wet cat food and could devour an entire can in seconds. Due to his shy nature, an indoor-only home without kids and dogs is needed.

Story
Smokey is a free-spirited boy whose individualistic purrsonality is often misunderstood. In a calm, serene environment, he is an admirable and pleasant companion. He is direct about his wants and needs which can be a refreshing for cat lovers who want to know what`s on their cat`s mind. It can be a big adjustment for him moving into a new place, but with an understanding and patient family, he will soon find a comfortable routine to fall into. He prefers a home with no other animals or children so he can focus solely on the finer things in life, such as hunting and chasing around interactive toys and lounging his days in a window or cat tree. Please come and meet Smokey if you are looking for a companion to learn and grow with, as he is sure to form a strong bond with his family over time.

Story
I am a very shy and under-socialized kitty looking for a quiet indoor only home with my friend Naughty but Nice Cocktail. We do well with other cats, especially outgoing ones who can help us with our social skills. We will need tons of time to settle in and tons of extra socialization to help us become more social. We love to play and would like to have plenty of toys, scratching posts, and cat towers to help keep us busy.

Story
Bootzy is a fluffy boy looking for his new furever home. While Bootzy has been nervous and a bit unsure with us here, once he chooses his person and is able to bond with them, he turns into a huge snuggle bug who is very loving and affectionate. This handsome boy loves everything to do with catnip: he loves to roll in it, eat catnip flavored treats, and play with catnip filled toys! He seems to get along great with a home that will respect his boundaries but is known to pick his person and curl up in their laps during movie time. In his previous home, they noted that he is most comfortable around women and seemed to do well around mature children as well. He seems to prefer being the only pet in home. Along with his dry food, wet food at least once a day is an important part of Bootzy`s diet and will need to continue in his new home. Gravies and `soups` are his favorite! Come and meet this distinguished gentleman!
