Story
Meet Sweet Silvia! She was recently surrendered because she was being picked on by the other animals in her home; a senior cat who would attack her, and an energetic young dog that she was very afraid of. Silvia would likely be happiest as the only animal in her quiet new home, where she could receive all of the attention and flourish into her happy self.Silvia can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she is such a kind-hearted sweetie, who just wants to be loved. She is quite content with gentle pets, as she softly purrs the day away. She also enjoys her window perches, hidey-holes, toys, and catnip. If Silvia sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill out an application for the Shuswap Branch below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Silver Tabby Weight: 6.2 Age: 8yrs 10mths 0wks

Meet Inky, a sensitive soul who adores being around people. Inky came into our care when he was found on someones porch, curled up on the doormat and refusing to leave. Because Inky loves people so much, we aren't surprised at all.Inky would make a great companion for someone quiet who is looking for a best friend, and would do best in a home without any other cats or young children. While Inky waits for a neuter appointment, he is available to meet in the center. We are prioritizing local homes that would be able to foster Inky until he is neutered and hopefully reduce his worries about being in the center. If you are interested in adopting Inky, please submit a pre-adoption application to the Shuswap branch through the link below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.17 Age: 2yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Meet Valkyrie, a beautiful and resilient cat with a warrior spirit as strong as her name suggests. A true survivor, she was abandoned in rough shape and had a long road of recovery ahead of her. When she came to the SPCA Valkyrie was very thin had ear mites and ear infections, broken teeth, and was suffering from ringworm, which required medicine and many medicated baths to be rid of. She is now free of her infections and just has a bit of a wonky ear as a reminder of her suffering. Despite the challenges she has faced, including a past full of neglect, she remains gentle, affectionate, and full of love to give. She is an incredibly sweet cat and her pleasant nature and playful demeanor make her a joy to be around and reveal her inner strength. Valkyrie is looking for a forever home where she can share her warmth and loyalty with a family who appreciates her unique blend of beauty and resilience. She would likely be fine with calm, older children, and has lived with other cats before. She would make a great addition to any home with proper introductions and time to adjust If you're ready to offer a loving space for this extraordinary cat, Valkyrie is waiting for you to come into her life and make it complete.*VALKYRIE IS CURRENTLY AWAITING A DENTAL SURGERY and is not able to be adopted just yet but local adopters can potentially do a foster to adopt with Valkyrie in their home until she gets her surgery.
