Story
FOR ADOPTION: SAM is a super sweet two year old female looking for her forever snuggle buddy. Sam has been exceptionally well loved for her entire life and only came into our care due to her previous family’s crippling allergies. Sam is a sweet girl that is good with kids, comfortable with friendly dogs and good with other cats after a slow introduction period. Sam is so over shelter life and ready to get herself back into a loving home. This is a girl that is used to lounging all day and snuggling her nights away tucked in beside her bff and she’s looking to get back to that lifestyle ASAP. Sam has been indoor only her entire life and would be best suited to staying that way. She could also learn to love the catio lifestyle or harness training to go on some adventures. Sam is now spayed, vaccinated and up to date on parasite control. If you’ve been looking for a new BFF apply today at www.NWAS.ca for a chance to meet SAM. #NWASSam

Story
Introducing Taco!Taco came into shelter recently along with his two siblings, He is a little on the shy side but very open to pets and affection. He would be okay to be adopted alongside one of his siblings.***Keep your new family member safe and consider investing in a catio or "cat-proofing" your balcony/deck. Leash-training, or letting your cat tag along in a pet backpack, are other safe options. Alternatively, you can bring the outside in with strategically placed bird-feeders and pollinator plants!***Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Taco's person? Apply today!TIP: We strongly suggest all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and drastically effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting! Some animals may not be available for public viewing due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kittens are not available for viewing as they are often in foster homes for health & safety reasons. Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be contacting select individuals to further review their interest. If you do not hear back within a week, it's likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason.
