Story
Meet Oakley, the adorable bundle of fluff that will steal your heart and maybe a few snacks along the way! This sweet little guy has more charm than a Hollywood starlet, albeit a bit shy, he's more of a behind-the-scenes type than a red carpet diva. Oakley is the kind of kitten who believes that "slow and steady wins the race." His favorite activities include peeking around corners to observe his cat friends in action (who knew chasing a laser dot could be so intense?), and then quietly joining the fun when he thinks no one is watching. If you catch him mid-exploration, don't be surprised if he freezes in place, wide-eyed and whiskered, like he's a little ninja in training suddenly caught in the act!His tuxedo coat is perfect for any fancy occasion or a leisurely couch nap, which is where Oakley shines! He loves snuggling with his favourite people and fellow feline friends, and he firmly believes that there's no such thing as too many cat buddies. If you have other kitties, this sociable little dude will fit right in, bringing his delightful blend of sweetness and shyness to your cat crew.Whether he's learning the ropes of playtime or trying to figure out the perfect spot to bask in the sun (which he takes very seriously), Oakley is a little ball of personality. He's not just a kitten; he's a tiny shadow casting the greatest warmth and love in any room. So, if you're ready to welcome a gentle soul into your home, one who will undoubtedly become your personal heartthrob and cuddle enthusiast, submit a pre adoption questionnaire for Oakley today! Meet handsome Teddy! This sweet boy is looking for his forever home where he will be spoiled and doted on! Teddy can be a bit shy when first meeting new people but he warms up quickly and loves attention. He has the sweetest little meow and loves to curl up under blankets in a comfy spot.Teddy prefers to be the only pet in his home as he isn't too fond of other pets. He would love to be the king of his castle! Teddy is a bit overweight so he will need someone who will monitor his weight and diet. He has been out on our catio in the shelter but was previously an indoor only cat, so a catio or supervised outdoor time with a harness and leash could be good for him!If Teddy sounds like the one for you, send us an application or come down to the Comox Valley shelter to meet him! We are open from Tuesday to Saturday from 12-4pm. Primary Color: Grey Weight: 6.76 Age: 4yrs 5mths 1wks

Story
Sweet little Isabelle has had a very busy, hectic life so far. This young lady has had so much happen in her little world, and is now patiently waiting for the perfect place to call home with perfect people she can rule. Isabelle came to us from a communtity on the North end of the Island, so we know very little of her background. We do know that she is super friendly, and loves people. We are not sure how she does with other cats or dogs, as we are still testing the waters on that aspect. We are looking for an indoor only home for this sweet girl, as we feel after all she has gone through she would be extra appreciative. If you are interested in allowing Isabelle to set some new rules in your home, fill out an application on our website at www.spca.bc.ca. Primary Color: Torbie Weight: 3.6 Age: 1yrs 6mths 3wks

Smokey is awaiting his furever home in the form of a calm guardian who loves to cuddle. He is super sweet and would love to be your new couch cat. This guy is a huge lover, he can be a bit nervous of new environments so he will be best suited as living the indoor only lifestyle where he can be pampered and confident with his surroundings. We do not have history on Smokey with other animals due his to arrival as a stray, however he would likely be fine living with another calm cat.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application online.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Grey Weight: 4.38 Age: 2yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Beardgrass came into our care along with a few housemates. This young 3 year old was pretty shy when he arrived, but has come a long way and is settling in. Beardgrass looks a little rough around the edges at this time as we are sure he has been in a few scuffles. This chunky cheeked boy loves nothing more than to lie around and lean into cheek rubs, purring and kneading his paws.A quiet home would be best suited for BG as he still shows signs of being spooked; it doesn't take long for him to warm up though and ask for love.If you are interested in Beardgrass, please fill out an application online or stop by our location during open hours. Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
A mover and a shaker, Mia can be a little difficult to photograph- but that's okay! We know her real beauty lies in her personality, and want to share that with you too.As a Bengal, being a busy body is second nature to Mia, in many ways. Whether it be that she needs to know your business all the time or that she just can't sit still, Mia's love of activity is strong. She is an athletic, intelligent, and curious breed that needs lots of opportunity to run, climb, and play to feel content. We love Mia and her energy, but in order to keep her safe, Mia is looking for an extra special home that can offer her the appropriate stimulation she is looking for, while staying an indoor cat.A mover and a shaker indeed, Mia has a neurological condition (often known with Bengals) that causes her body to quiver. This does not cause her any pain or affect her day-to-day, but future prognosis is unknown. An indoor life is best for her, as she can be a bit unsteady on her feet at times and doesn't have the greatest jumping abilities. She makes great use of her current catio, though! Mia also requires a veterinary grade diet of urinary care food, and annual checkups. Mia does not let any medical things hold her back, and prefers to show you all the things she CAN do!If you're lucky to catch Mia in a post play nap moment, you'll get to marvel at how she stretches out her body and legs, all while curling her head in tight to achieve what she thinks is an optimal sleeping position. We don't always see the comfort in it, but she sure does! Mia is quick to break from her slumber if someone enters her vicinity, because in her mind, there is nothing better than some good ole human interaction. She'll greet you at the door, chatter at you throughout the day, and offer you all the companionship you could ever want!Mia loves her people so much, that she prefers if the relationship stayed just between you, and didn't involve sharing with other animals. She is happy to dole out her affection to multiple human household members though, especially if it means there's more playtime and pats for her! While she may be petite in stature, Mia does nothing small. If you're looking to add big feelings, big energy, and big personality into your home, Mia is your gal.To strike up a conversation about Mia, use the link below ⬇️https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/Mia, ID# 594330Spayed female, Bengal1.5 years old Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Spotted Weight: 4.77 Age: 1yrs 7mths 3wks
