Story
Stella is a sweet and affectionate senior cat with a heart full of love, ready to bring warmth and joy to her new home. Her soft, velvety fur and gentle purrs are just the beginning of her endearing qualities. Stella has a knack for making those around her feel special, and she delights in snuggling up next to her favorite humans, offering gentle headbutts and contented purrs in return for a little attention. Despite her age, Stella's playful spirit remains vibrant, and she enjoys simple pleasures like lounging in a sunny spot or enjoying a nice snack. She's seeking a loving and serene home with no children where she can continue to shower her new family with affection. Stella has lived with another cat before but can be a bit grouchy with new animals so very slow introductions and testing would be imperative or she may be happiest as an only fur child. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share cozy evenings and quiet moments, Stella is the perfect match-her loving heart is ready to make your home feel complete.Stella is a plus sized lady (lots of her to love) who needs to trim down a bit to find her girlish figure and live a healthier life. She has also been diagnosed with possible allergies and has been put on a hypoallergenic diet which adopters will likely need to continue or work with their vet to find a food that works for Stella. She is also being trialed on a medication to help with her allergy symptoms. If you are interested in adopting, you can visit our centre to meet this pet, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person or submit an online application below. https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal. Story
Say hello to Macchiato, a delicate and gentle soul looking for a quiet, loving home. Born in a barn and not getting to really experience love the first few months of her life she is nervous of all the changes in her life but excited to be learning about the finer things in life, like cozy nap spots and cheek rubs. This beautiful girl may be a bit shy at first and have a tendency to hide, but with a gentle hand, patience and kindness, she will hopefully blossom into a loving companion. Macchiato loves hiding spots at first and observing the world around her from a safe space, until she has adjusted to her new environment. Once she's comfortable, she'll reward you with soft purrs and a calm, soothing presence. Her playful kitten side might even come out. Macchiato would thrive in a peaceful, calm home where she can come out of her shell at her own pace. A home without children would be best and she would likely do well with a feline friend or two with proper, slow introductions. If you have a warm heart and a little patience, Macchiato could be your perfect match! If you are interested in adopting, you can come by the Kamloops shelter during open hours or apply online at the link below. https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Torbie Weight: 3 Age: 0yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
Meet Sura! This beautiful calico lady is looking for her new fur-ever home after her previous guardians unfortunately could no longer keep her. She previously lived in a home with other cats so may be fine with a new feline friend with proper, very slow introductions. Initially she might be nervous and growly with other cats. Sura is a bit shy at first with new people and in a new environment, but if you give her lots of loving reassurance, a quiet place to hide when she feels nervous, and time to adjust, she will eventually come out of her shell and show you her sweet, loving side. She enjoys getting lots of pets and cheek scratches and has a sweet little meow when she says hello. We're not sure if she's ever been around children so young kids may be a bit too much for her. Older, calm, cat savvy kids may be fine. Sura is a little bit plump so could benefit from a healthy diet to help her trim down a bit.Overall this sweet girl will make a lovely companion in the right home. Could this calm, sweet lady be the one for you?If you are interested in adopting, you can come by the Kamloops shelter during public viewing hours or apply online at the link below. https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Muted Calico Weight: 4.54 Age: 7yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Hello, I'm Calli! I'm a friendly, independent girl who is looking for a quiet home.I love to be around my people but I don't want to be on you whenever you sit down or go to bed, I'll just be close by if you need me, enjoying my quiet peaceful naps. I'd like to be in a home where I won't be left alone for long periods of time while you are on holiday because even though I'm an introvert, this makes me sad.I'm awesome with my litter box, I love catnip and canned food treats, and I have the cutest little voice.I don't like to go outside, I'm frightened of the outdoors and other animals and I'll need someone with patience to let me settle in to my new home in my own time. I'm not a difficult cat, I just need someone who understands that I'm not an extrovert. If you think you could provide Calli with a wonderful home, please fill out an online application through the link below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Calico Weight: 5.14 Age: 6yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
Meet Lucerne! Lucerne comes from an outdoor cat colony, his past making him a bit shy and reserved, however he has made tons of progress with his socialization and will now seek out attention and pets from those he trusts. Having spent his life with other cats already, a confident resident cat who could show him the ropes would help him continue to build his confidence, but this is not a requirement. He would prefer a quieter home as loud noises or quick movements can still be a touch scary. Lucerne is a very sweet, affectionate boy once he comes out of his shell. He absolutely adores getting all the chin, ear and belly pets, and will happily purr the day away. Lucerne deserves a furever home that will appreciate him for who he is and give him the love and patience he needs to become the confident, snuggly boy he was meant to be.If you think this little man is for you, submit an online application to the Shuswap branch below! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 3.41 Age: 0yrs 5mths 0wks
