Melvin (A136009) is a 1-year-and-5-month-old DSH cat who weighed 11.09 pounds on intake!11/19/24 Melvin is back at the shelter and still searching for his purrrfect fit! His adoptive owner did state that he would do best in a very quiet and calm home setting. We unfortunately do not have any additional behavioral information on how he behaved in a home setting. We encourage his next owner to also reach out to their vet on ways to help this boy settle in and feel more comfortable! Melvin was surrendered to the shelter because he was very displeased living with other cats and acting out towards the kittens in the home. He would do best in a home without other cats to keep everyone safe, happy, and healthy! Melvin was described as a shy and fearful cat, but once he knows you, he was said to be very sweet and affectionate. He may enjoy living in a quieter home setting where he can be the king of his castle. Melvin was said to enjoy spending most of his time lounging in his cat tree and watching the world go by. He would love to have a cat tree in his next home! Melvin was also said to love treats â&#194&#128&#194&#147 the best way to his heart is through food!
