Story
Boot and Bones came into our care after their owner passed on and they found themselves at Anchorage Animal Care and Control. Bones is gray and white and is 19 years old. He is on a weight reduction plan and is on special food for that purpose. Boots is black and white and is 16 years old. and is on the same food at Bones for ease in monitoring. We have a soft spot for seniors and are happy to partner with an adopter or long-term sanctuary foster home to provide on-going support for their care. They both enjoy catnip toys, a cozy place to take a nap and a human's company. If you have a love of gentle cats and perhaps don't have the ability to make a 16-year commitment to a cat, we'd love for you to consider meeting these 2 sweethearts.

Story
Calcifer (A136681) is a 1-year-old DSH who weighed 11.25 pounds on intake!11/22/24 This handsome guy is Calcifer! Calcifer is looking for a new moving castle to call home after arriving at the shelter as a stray! Calcifer has been prone to keeping to himself most of the time he has been at the shelter, but he will accept pets and dish out lots of headbutts in return! Calcifer would most likely prefer a quieter home, based on his behavior at the shelter, but we do not know much about his preferences. Please make sure to do your own research on how to properly introduce a new cat to your home prior to adopting. Fear Free Pets has a lot of great resources on this! Calcifer was treated for earmites on intake with Bravecto. For this reason, he should be kept separate form other cats in the home for at least the first two weeks. If you are interested in meeting this sweet cuddlebug, please give us a call!November 26, 2024, 3:17 pm
