Story
www.astdogrescue.com/cat-application   Hello there! My name is Shelton, and I’m super excited to introduce myself! I was born on April 16th, which makes me a proud member of the springtime crew. I’m all set and ready to find my forever home—I’m neutered, microchipped, up to date on all my vaccinations, and I’m happy to report that I’m FIV/FLV negative! My foster mama describes me as the sweetest little baby, and I must say, I think she’s onto something! I can be a bit timid and easily startled by new things, which means I might take some time to warm up to you. I’d do best in a calm and quiet environment where I can feel safe and secure. That said, I’m doing wonderfully in my bustling foster home! It’s just a matter of us taking our time together; I might need a little space before I come over to you for some loving pets. In fact, just last night, I took a big step and cuddled up on the couch for the very first time! It felt amazing! Now, I have to admit, I can be a bit cautious around the dogs in my foster home. But don’t worry! I’m not terrified of them; I just like to take my time figuring out if they’re friends or foes. Once I feel comfortable, I know we can all hang out together! I do get along with other kitties famously though! And kids? I have a preference for the older kiddos, but younger kiddos with kitty savviness would be even better.  Oh, and here’s a fun little quirk about me—I can be quite the playful rascal! If I ever feel like I’m not getting enough attention, I might give you a cheeky ankle bite to let you know I’m ready for some love! It’s all in good fun, of course, and I promise I mean no harm. I just really crave those moments of connection! While I get along well with everyone, I think I’d thrive best in a quieter home where I can truly relax and feel at ease. But don’t worry; that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate having friends around! I love the company, and I’m ready to share my sweet personality with the right family. So, if you think you can provide a warm and loving home for a gentle soul like me, I can’t wait to meet you!  Apply for Shelton! ##2099510##

Story
Though there are many definitions for the word grace, the truest for Full of Grace is in the following: An exercise of love, kindness, mercy, favor and a disposition to serve another. Only a kitten herself when she was impregnated, Grace has embodied this message, raising her and her sister's beautiful kittens all while learning to be a cat and trust people again.  When she was only a kitten herself, this lovely fluffy girl was tossed into an unfinished basement with her siblings and her mother, away from human touch, safety and love.  All because a man's new girlfriend was allergic  to his cats. He only called rescue later when he realized mom and the two sisters were all impregnated by the boy. So it makes sense why Grace and her siblings have had such a hard time trusting; but yet, in foster care, she and her sister found it within themselves to care beautifully for their babies all while adjusting the real world. Full of Grace has been able to give herself the gift of Grace as she has adapted to a life full of love - she has begun to be curious about those around her and is slowy replacing her fear with interest. Her siblings are much more protective and frightened and may only ever end up spirit cats who are great companions for other cats but may never fully trust humans. Full of Grace has also shown interest in other furry friends and would do well with another friendly cat or gentle cat-friendly dog. Grace provided a healthy environment for her little ones, ensuring they had the best love and care, and now that they have branched out to find independence, it is her very own turn to do the same. It is safe to say that Grace is a mystery, not easily understood, but that meets you where you are and doesn't leave you where you were found - but rather in a more peaceful, more beautiful and more colorful place. This Grace is finding just that, and carrying it with her wherever she goes - a true nod to her nature and bright spirit that was kept hidden away in a basement. As she learns that people will provide her endless love, she will in turn, provide endless Grace.    You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page:  Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet. ##2245718##

Story
Majestic, a 3-year-old long-haired buff-colored boy, and Queen, a 1-year-old tabby cat, are exceptional duos that must be adopted together. When Queen arrived, Majestic stepped up as her protector and caretaker, instinctively cleaning, cuddling, and watching over her. Their bond is incredibly strong and heartwarming, making it clear they belong together. These two were surrendered by their previous owner due to eviction, but they deserve a loving home where they can thrive side by side. If you're ready to provide that home, please fill out our adoption application online by visiting https://animalsforlife.org/feline-adoption-application. Don’t miss the chance to bring this inseparable pair into your life.February 3, 2025, 7:11 am

Story
Polly is a young lady who has been hanging out in foster care. Rescued as an older kitten, Polly wasn't sure about people at first. With a little time, attention and patience Polly is now described as quite the flirt! She is more than ready of a family of her own and would do great with a family with other four legged friends! Polly is FELV/FIV negative, spayed and up to date on vaccines. Apply at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28
