Story
We found Minnie in a snowbank during a major snowstorm in 2020, she was only a couple weeks old. We brought her to a person we knew who rehabilitated animals and left her there. We found out a few weeks later that she lived, and then decided to bring her home! We were so excited to have her. We call her “Queen” because she is the boss lol she does not like to be picked up and carried around, but absolutely loves a great laps sit and snuggles. She loves to be scratched under her chin and behind her ears, and always finds the warmest lap to sit on. She likes to play, and often startles us with her antics. She has not had much experience at all with young children, but lived with three teenage girls and would probably be best suited in a family with older children. She is used to being alone, and we call her a social introvert. She loves attention, but also very much, so likes her alone time too. She is low maintenance, happy, and has no health issues.

Story
Fig, a medium hair and her brother, Newton a short hair, are a gorgeous pair of silver and brown tabbies. They're about 6 years old, and full of love! They can be a little nervous about new people, and would prefer a quieter home. These siblings were surrendered by their owner after 6 years due to relocation to another state moving in with family who are allergic    You can find our online-fillable adoption for Fig & Newton application by visiting https://animalsforlife.org/feline-adoption-application.July 3, 2024, 8:26 pm

Story
Hi everyone! My name is Willow. I am a sweet, spunky, sometimes vocal, easygoing girl who is extra special. I am a little love bug who would love nothing more than to be by your side. I love being pet and belly rubs are wonderful, too. I really love chasing that silly red light that jumps all over. My foster mom says I'm such a good girl -- I go in the crate easily when I need to go somewhere, I'm very calm and quiet in the car, and I behave really well at the vet. Yes, I am all that despite having a pretty rough start at this thing called "life"! My story begins during a time when I was scared and hungry. I found some old bread in a nice lady's yard. She fed me yummy cat food, and I was so happy that I decided to stick around! Finally, someone I trusted to not hurt me. Lucky for me, the weather was still pretty nice. I loved laying on the nice lady's deck in the warm sunshine. After a few weeks, the weatherman predicted a snow storm. The nice lady brought me in the house, but I was still a little scared, so I hid behind the washing machine all day. I wasn't feeling too good, so I was brought to the vet. I had a few medical issues. A group of nice people from a rescue took over to help me get better and find me the perfect, loving home. I healed up pretty well except for one thing -- my tail was broken. This injury damaged some nerves which makes it hard for me to hold my urine. I try really hard to go in the litter box, but it doesn't always work. This means I need a special human that can express my bladder and keep me healthy. This injury makes me an extra special cat. If you are an extra special human that is willing to take a chance on me, I won't let you down. Love, Willow Willow was born around July 20, 2023. She is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.  Applications for adoption can be found at https://www.fosterandforever.org/  Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs. Story
Blossom, if you followed this sweet kitty on our animals for life facebook page you know that she had a tough few weeks early on. She was taken to the pound along with her mother and the only info received was that they were strays. Well, this sweetie obviously got into some non edible, undigestible pieces of a variety of outdoor plastic rubber etc so she was ill for  a few weeks. Blossom as her name suggests is bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready for you to meet her As always with litters, applications for two or more kittens will take priority. Story
This 3-year-old honey pie came to her foster family when her human had a baby human. Suddenly, Ariel was unloved and unwanted. She became disposable through no fault of her own. Ariel is a lovely, calm, medium-haired calico who loves to chat with anyone who will listen! She does well with other cats, but is cautious around rambunctious dogs. If you can find it in your heart to give this little angel a home, please apply. You won't regret it! Ariel was born around June 5, 2021, and is currently being fostered in Watertown. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, is microchipped, and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org. Story
This is "Noble". Noble is about 1 year and 9 months old. His hair, which is a little on the longer side, is mostly black with beautiful white markings. We find Noble to be quite handsome! Noble was born behind the Barnes & Noble book store in Waterbury. He is not wild but he needs some time to settle down and just relax. Having said that, we are looking for someone that has time for Noble, someone who will take the necessary time to help Noble be able to settle down and just relax in his new home. Noble needs someone to love him, to understand him and to be kind to him. Noble is somewhat on the quiet side. He should be the only cat in the house until he has an attachment with his new owner. Then he would probably welcome a cat friend in the house. As for a dog in the house, Noble is scared of dogs. In Noble's new home, children must be 6 years old or older. Noble got neutered, he got his shots and he tested negative for feline leukemia/aids. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Noble is $150.00. No credit cards. You can meet any of our animals at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury on Saturday during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00 so, if you are interested in meeting Noble or a particular animal, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com and we will be certain to bring that particular animal with us to Petco on Saturday. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS!
