Story
Marilyn says If you can't handle her at her worst, then you sure as heck don't deserve her at her best.Poor Marilyn was rescued from a hoarding situation in Woodbridge. She had a rough start in life, living in squalor and fighting for food. When she came to us she was shut down and suffering from mites. After treatment she looks a lot better and has regained some personality, but it may take a little more time before she trusts humans again. Marilyn is a beautiful black and white tuxedo cat with a beauty mark on her face, hence the name. She's not quite long haired but she's got a bit of extra fluff on her tail. She is pretty shy and doesn't know what to make of humans at the moment but we hope with some patience and TLC she will come around. If you have experience working with cats that need love, please consider giving Marilyn another chance.Marilyn is up to date on vaccinations, tests negative for FIV and FELV, and has been spayed and microchipped (pending Oct 10th). If you are a superstar and want to give this poor girl another chance apply at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28

Story
Aspen is one of the many kittens MHS has available. Kittens are typically in foster care until they are big enough to be adopted and not featured on petfinder until they are at least 8 weeks of age which means we have MANY MORE than are shown online! Approved adopters are connected with foster families for meet and greet appointments and can put deposits on kittens to reserve them until they are big enough to go home. Kitten adoption fee includes first vaccines, spay/neuter certificate, microchip, testing for FIV/FELV and fecal testing/deworming treatment. Story
***ELVIRA AND VINCENT PRICE ARE BONDED AND SHOULD GO HOME TOGETHER***Elvira is a gorgeous fluffy black female older kitten that was surrendered to us by a gentleman that was traveling a lot and wanted them to find a more permanent home. She was a little shy at first but has become very friendly, likes pets and headbutts, and will come right over for food. She isn't super sure about being picked up yet but with some patience and love we think she will be a lap cat in no time!Because Elvria and her brother Vincent Price have been together nonstop in a small area since birth, we believe they are bonded and should be adopted together. Elvria is an older kitten (7 months) and is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped (pending 11/6/24), and tests negative for FIV and FELV. All she needs now is a spot on your couch to play! Apply here https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28

Story
Hey there, it's Shelton! I may be a little guy at 2.7lbs, but I've got a big heart! I've already had all my vaccinations, been microchipped, neutered, and tested negative for FIV/FLV.   I'll admit, I can be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up to you, I'm a total sweetheart. I just need a little time to adjust to new surroundings. My future family should know that I might need some time to relax and settle in, but I promise I'll come out of my shell.   I do have a slight heart murmur, but my amazing doctor says I'll probably grow out of it. It's nothing major, just something to keep in mind. I thrive in a stress-free environment, so a little patience and understanding will go a long way with me.   I get along great with other cats, dogs, and older kids who are gentle and won't overwhelm me. I would love to have a young kitty playmate at home to keep me company and have fun with.   Overall, I'm a lovable little guy who just needs some time and love to blossom. I can't wait to find my forever family who will appreciate me for who I am. ##2099510##

Story
Gianna is a beautiful medium-hair tabby whose fur is very fine and silky. She will require some grooming. She was found in a carrier left outside a store with her sister (already rehomed). Thanks to a friend of the rescue, she is now safe with her Foster & Forever family. If you want a super loving lap kitten, Gianna is your girl! She isn't a fan of other cats or kittens; she's a growler. She will occasionally chase another kitten, but would rather play independently. Gianna loves playing with any type of soft ball, and, yes; growls while playing. She enjoys being held, carried around, and taking laps in her humans' laps. She is very persistent and will growl at her foster mom's nine-year-old cat to move so Gianna can sit on her mom's lap.  Gianna needs to be the only pet or with a super docile. Gianna was born around July 20, 2023, and is currently being fostered in Naugatuck. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org. Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.December 2, 2024, 8:15 am

Story
Sunny and Sully are 2 are some of the cutest babies we’ve ever seen. Born mid-September (approximately), these sweet babies are looking for their forever homes. They LOVE human contact and getting lots of love. These sweet babies are loving their full access to food (they’re eating dry), and they are already litter box trained. They have not met doggies yet as we do not want to put too much stress on them, but we believe with time and patience, they would be able to live happily in a home with cat friendly dogs. Other kitties are no issue! Sunny and Sully LOVE to play, snuggle and just be kitties. These babies love their cat trees in their cat room and are just learning what toys are. They have a ball climbing to top of the cat towers and pretending to be the king and queen of the room. They are good size kitties and we believe they will be bigger boys – so young children are not a problem as we know even at this age, they can get away from them with no problems! If you’re looking for a sweet, fun, entertaining kitty to add to your home, please consider adopting 1, or both, of these awesome kitties. Adoption Fee includes: Feline distemper vaccine, feline leukemia vaccine, dewormer, microchip, current flea prevention, FIV/ FLV Test and health certificate that they will get from a veterinarian prior to transport. Please fill out an application at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org You can contact us at info@pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org
