Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Ravioli Petite Pirate arrives Feb 26 from Saudi. She is a small one eyed kitty who tends to take the reins in her home:) She is cuddly and loves to play so needs an active home. Herstory: left behind pregnant, hungry and scared. Without any survival instincts, she lost her eye to a cat fight. She is very sweet and friendly but after losing her eye she became stressed from other cats. She could be a solo but we can better determine that after her arrival--if so, then she would like a stay at home mom or dad:) All kittens are adoptable in pairs only unless another age appropriate cat is in residence.  Most of our adult cats also like cat company (most fosters are multicat homes).  Please read the following article on cat food to see why no dry: www.catinfo.org  Facebook:Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   All cats are in the NY area.  Cats are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped.  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site      https://zanisfurryfriends.org      fill out an application and return to   cats@zanisfurryfriends.org   Please note: kittens must be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we would be happy to recommend those cats who would do best as solo cats. All our cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed and also microchipped.   Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent.  Please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come! And if you can't adopt, foster or volunteer, you can always donate! Story
Meet Fable, a tiny Tortie girl who is a sweet and delicate flower.  She enjoys watching what is going on around her and playing when the need strikes her fancy.  Fable's life started out rough, living outside amongst a colony of feral cats.  Her life took a positive turn when she was rescued by a good samaritan and turned over to the rescue with eleven other kittens.  When it comes to cuddles, she is still a little shy and may not always sit still to be picked up but once she is, she is all about purrs and cuddles.  Trust takes time and in the case of strays and ferals, they usually relax completely once they are receiving daily love from their 'people'.   She is enjoying the warmth, food, and safety of his foster home but is looking forward to a home where she can enjoy a home of her own as she is currently lives in a kitty condo.  Are you the one that can continue to teach her that life is good by sharing your lap and love with this sweet girl!  If you are interested, please email Critter Cavalry  at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 27, 2025, 11:55 pm

Story
Introducing Bud, the tuxedo gentleman with the heart of a shy poet and the sass of a tiny bouncer. At 1 year old, Bud is handsome, refined, and absolutely certain that being picked up is optional — and he will absolutely file a formal complaint if you forget. Bud isn’t much of a “cats’ cat,” but he’ll tolerate other felines as long as they’re respectful. Dogs? Totally fine. Kids? Absolutely — just as long as they appreciate his “personal space policies.” He’s litter box trained, polite, and carries himself with the dignity of someone who knows he’s dressed better than everyone else in the room. If you’re looking for a charming, slightly mysterious tuxedo boy who will bond deeply once he trusts you, Bud might be your perfect match. To meet this classy gentleman, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at CcrTennessee@gmail.com — and be sure to include your city and state so his matchmakers can help! December 4, 2025, 1:56 pm

Story
Pickles is a beautiful black and white tuxedo kitten that is only 5 months old and was found just before Christmas as a starving stray without any other cats around.  She was found crawling in a fast food bag looking for food to eat.  Her rescue mom could see what she needed to do....take her home and feed her and give her a chance at a life and the chance to be adopted. Her name came from the fact that fast food often involves a few extra  pickles on the side.  Just a fun way to remember her original  opportunity to become a rescued kitten.  Soon Pickles was purring, putting on much needed on her very thin body and basking in the love that her foster family was giving her.  She was once scared but no more!   Confident, playful and beautifully sweet this little girl plays with pure joy and makes the humans in her home smile with joy that she is on her way to living a long CAT LIFE!   If you are interested in this Tuxedo girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  She is waiting to start the new year of 2026 with YOU!January 17, 2026, 10:17 pm
