Story
Like the song says, Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree—except she’d much rather perch in a sunny window or a cozy lap (on her terms, of course). Kookaburra is friendly, playful, and full of personality. She seems to enjoy people but likes to set the pace of interactions. We’re not sure yet how she feels about other cats or dogs. This one-year-old longhaired tabby came to us as a stray, a little worse for wear, with cockleburrs tangled in her mane. She’s rocking a temporary trim, but once her fur grows back, she’ll be as glorious as ever.If you’re looking for a cat who marches to the beat of her own song, Kookaburra might be your perfect match! Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.

Story
Delphine is a vision of elegance—a majestic grey and white long-haired beauty who carries herself with the grace of a queen. With her flowing fur, piercing eyes, and regal demeanor, she commands attention the moment she enters a room. She moves with purpose, whether she’s perching on her throne (also known as your favorite chair) or surveying her kingdom from a sunny windowsill. Delphine knows she was meant for greatness, and she’s looking for a home worthy of her royal presence. Though she has the poise of nobility, Delphine is not all formality—she enjoys the finer things in life, like gentle chin scratches, a luxurious nap on the softest blankets, and ruling over her humans with a benevolent but firm paw. She will graciously accept adoration and reward her loyal subjects with slow blinks and quiet purrs. Delphine does appreciate a proper introduction to younger admirers, so she will need slow intros with children to ensure she can adjust at her own regal pace. If you’re ready to welcome a glorious lady who will rule your world with both dignity and charm, Delphine is more than prepared to assume her rightful place in your home. Story
I got Rick in September from a home with other pets. He was very territorial and it was an unfortunate situation. He is six years old and I am looking for somebody to provide him the love he needs. He is a bit timid at first but once he warms up to you, he will lay on your chest, head smoosh you, and lick your face. He cannot be in a house with other pets or children. I want to find him the right, permanent home. I wish it could be myself, but I am moving and don’t have the finances to give him the life he deserves.

Story
Estimated DOB: 05/03/2023 Meet Sable! She is a beautiful long-haired black cat. She is a smart girl. She has learned how to sit and even taught herself how to fetch! Her favorite toys are puffy balls and catnip bananas, but she can make a toy out of pretty much anything! This girl is on the move most of the day, but she gets into her groove near the end of the evening. That's when she and her fellow foster sister, Spot, love to chase each other around the house. Sable does have her quiet moments and during those times she enjoys being curled up in a comfy cat bed. Every once and a while she will enjoy a lap cuddle. When you can get her to stay still she does enjoy pets and her motor will really start going! We’re still working on Sable’s manners. She wants to be in everything you’re doing and check out everything in the house. She’s a very confident girl and is hardly scared of anything. She’s always happy to meet new people and new animal friends. She wants to play with the resident cats a lot of the time even though they aren’t so interested in playing with her. We think she would be happy to have any type of furry friend in her future home and would do best with playmates. Sable is a big personality packed into a small body. She’ll keep you on your toes and bring many smiles to your face. Adopt Sable and bring some joy into your home! Go to www.allcatsrescue.org/cat-adoption-application to apply to adopt, or email allcatsrescue@gmail.com for more information. All of our adoptable kitties are current on shots, microchipped, altered (if old enough), and litter box trained. (NB)

Story
Estimated DOB: 05/10/2023 Boots is a sweet and easy going tuxedo boy. He loves to play, cuddle and sleep on your lap. He enjoys a window seat to watch the world pass by. He also loves to play with his favorite toys - jingle bell balls! You may remember Boots from ACR's fundraiser in January. He went through surgery for ear polyps and dental work. He is recovered and doing so well! He’s enjoyed spending time with his foster family and slowly getting to know other cats. He’s looking for a family of his own that will love him and spoil him. Boots can't wait to find his fur-ever home! * You can meet Boots today, at PetSmart's Dawley Farms location in Sioux Falls. Apply to adopt in store or online at www.allcatsrescue.org/cat-adoption-application. All of our adoptable kitties are current on shots, microchipped, altered (if old enough), and litter box trained.
