Hopscotch is a gentle Domestic Long Hair cat with a soft light grey and white coat. Known for her quiet and nervous nature, she takes time to warm up to new people and environments. At first, she may appear aloof, often retreating to a quiet corner to observe her surroundings from a distance. This shyness is not out of lack of affection, but simply because she needs time to feel safe and comfortable in her space. Hopscotch's reserved demeanor can make her seem distant, but those who are patient with her soon discover a sweet and tender soul beneath her cautious exterior. Once Hopscotch has warmed up to someone, her true personality shines through. She becomes an affectionate and cuddly companion, always seeking out moments of closeness and comfort. Her favorite thing is curling up next to her humans, purring softly as she nuzzles them. With a quiet, loving presence, Hopscotch shows that trust and patience are key to forming a deep bond. Although she may take her time, once she feels secure, she’s the sweetest, most loyal girl, offering the kind of gentle companionship that only those who take the time to understand her can truly appreciate. Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.

Estimated DOB: 05/03/2023 Meet Sable! She is a beautiful long-haired black cat. She is a smart girl. She has learned how to sit and even taught herself how to fetch! Her favorite toys are puffy balls and catnip bananas, but she can make a toy out of pretty much anything! This girl is on the move most of the day, but she gets into her groove near the end of the evening. That's when she and her fellow foster sister, Spot, love to chase each other around the house. Sable does have her quiet moments and during those times she enjoys being curled up in a comfy cat bed. Every once and a while she will enjoy a lap cuddle. When you can get her to stay still she does enjoy pets and her motor will really start going! We’re still working on Sable’s manners. She wants to be in everything you’re doing and check out everything in the house. She’s a very confident girl and is hardly scared of anything. She’s always happy to meet new people and new animal friends. She wants to play with the resident cats a lot of the time even though they aren’t so interested in playing with her. We think she would be happy to have any type of furry friend in her future home and would do best with playmates. Sable is a big personality packed into a small body.
