My name is felix and I was born just barely a year ago and a young student found me and another kitten in a creek inside a walmart bag.   She took a tone and fed us and nurtured us and we survived which is a miracle.  I love to hide in dark corners or a cat bed.That looks like a cave and I watched the world from my from my safe place.   I was saved but I didn't have much time spent with me.So i'm looking for someone that will show me a lot of love and how to relax.  I am a really handsome long haired cat with a black tail and dark gray tabby stripes. We will require that his adopter has a well-established relationship with a veterinarian, because we are committed to the health and happiness of Napoleon and his new guardians even after they leave our shelter. HART's Medical Team will provide his adopter training in the care of a diabetic cat (it’s easier than you think!), along with a blood-glucose testing kit, a vial of insulin with related supplies, and a generous starter amount of canned food. Oswald is a very sweet boy who wants to crawl right into your lap. We are guessing he is about 9 years old. He has the cutest big ears and a very soft, brown tabby coat. He came to HART in August after being found as a stray living in a barn. When he first arrived, he was in pretty rough shape, and our Medical Team discovered that he had severely matted fur and significant dental disease, as well as diabetes. Since receiving a dental cleaning with extractions and having the mats shaved, he is feeling much more comfortable and looking so much better! His diabetes is currently managed with a low-carb, canned food only diet (in our shelter, we feed Fancy Feast Classic Pate) and twice-daily insulin injections.   Olivia - Female DOB 4/13/2017 Domestic Long Hair Brown Tabby -    Meet Olivia, who is a sweet girl with big fluffy paws. Olivia's past has been challenging; she was abandoned at a horse farm, spending her days in a barn with horses and feral cats. Despite the kindness of the farm owners, who ensured she was spayed and vaccinated, Olivia's life was full of fear and uncertainty. Now, Olivia is safe and beginning to discover the joys of a secure, loving place to rest herself.  Confident and playful, Olivia will come and say hello to just about anyone.  In exchange for some well deserved praise, she will provide you with endless purrs and biscuits.  Olivia is considered to be a “special needs” kitty where she has been diagnosed with a form of arthritis in her rear ankles which is similar to people rheumatoid arthritis.  This condition is being managed with a form of pain medication, and will require her to be on it for the rest of her life to help with any arthritis pain.  But that is really a small price to pay with all the love you will receive from her in return.  Olivia is able to walk, jog, and play with relative ease, but this renders her a low-agility cat.  This condition may prevent her from jumping up on high things, such as chairs, beds and counters, but with help of pet stairs or a means to get up on beds or couches, she’s right there beside you.  She loves to watch kitty videos or perch herself in front of a window watching the critters and birds outside.    Olivia knows when it’s her feeding time and if you haven’t already set her wet food on the floor by that time, she will tell you in no certain terms that you’re late!  She loves to be picked up and be carried around, while being gentle with her hind end.  She loves to take naps on your lap and also will come up to you and plop right down beside you without pause.  Olivia loves to tell you about her day when you come home and will have full blown conversations with you.  She is very talented at meows containing multiple syllables lol.  This gentle soul is not a fan of other cats, but she thrives in calm, quiet environments and would flourish best in a home without other pets or children. She longs for a patient, understanding owner who spends plenty of time at home to help her feel secure and cherished.
