Story
Very sweet 3 yo female that will thrive giving and receiving gentle love. Daisy loves to sit on your lap and will nudge and beg for lots of head and neck rubs but will get up and leave if you touch any lower! although she adores her long soft hair to be brushed and combed. She has been loved by the same owner since being a tiny kitten and has adjusted to several moves, including living in an RV for a whole summer. But has recently developed some stress and anxiety related to properly using the litter box and ends up hanging her bottom over the sides. It is too much for us to deal with in our new home. Prefers to go outside to do her business then come back inside to find a quiet cozy place to take a peaceful nap. She is very smart and will even come when her name is called. When she goes out she doesn't wander outside our property lines and stays away from the road. Daisy would be best in an easygoing relaxed atmosphere.

Please fill out the cat adoption application if you are interested in adopting ButterBall Meet BUTTER BALL! - estimated DOB 6/16/24 -spayed female - quiet, shy, independent, cuddly Butter Ball is a female, born approximately 5-16-24. She came to Fairy Tails at about 3 days old when she was found as a stray with her 5 siblings. Butter Ball is continuing to thrive, learn and grow. She is ready for her forever home that matches her quiet, gentle, loving personality. Butterball is still quite shy and tends to keep to herself. But when you are sitting down, be ready for a lap warmer with the white noise of a purrr. When there is a lot of activity in the home, she will often hide. She is very independent but will accept and appreciate your attention when you seek her out. She does okay with the young cat savvy child and other kitties in her foster home. She is currently being fostered with cat friendly dogs as well but will retreat to safety when they are excitable or approach her. A home without or quiet dogs would be best for Butterball as loud sounds, unpredictable and fast movements can make her uneasy. Butterball is a beautiful, gentle, kind soul who just needs a calm environment where she can continue to blossom. If you're looking for a quiet companion who offers warm snuggles Butterball just may be the perfect match for you! Story
Are you looking for a sweet, gentle, fuzzy panther to add to your family? Napoleon might be the cat for you! This 8-year-old kitty came to us in the summer of 2024 from one of our partner rescues here in Maine. He was transferred to HART because he is diabetic, and we have a lot of experience with successfully caring for diabetic cats. His diabetes is currently well-managed with a low-carb, canned food only diet (in our shelter, we feed Fancy Feast Classic Pate), and twice-daily insulin injections. We will require that his adopter has a well-established relationship with a veterinarian, because we are committed to the health and happiness of Napoleon and his new guardians even after they leave our shelter. HART's Medical Team will provide his adopter training in the care of a diabetic cat (it’s easier than you think!), along with a blood-glucose testing kit, a vial of insulin with related supplies, and a generous starter amount of canned food. In order to make these preparations, he won't be able to go home on the same day that you meet him.Napoleon will be a fantastic addition to a family looking for an affectionate, laid-back cat-panion. Meet him in Room 4.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As

Story
Oswald is a very sweet boy who wants to crawl right into your lap. We are guessing he is about 10 years old. He has the cutest big ears and a very soft, brown tabby coat. He came to HART in August after being found as a stray living in a barn. When he first arrived, he was in pretty rough shape, and our Medical Team discovered that he had severely matted fur and significant dental disease, as well as diabetes. Since receiving a dental cleaning with extractions and having the mats shaved, he is feeling much more comfortable and looking so much better! His diabetes is currently managed with a low-carb, canned food only diet (in our shelter, we feed Fancy Feast Classic Pate) and twice-daily insulin injections. We will require that his adopter has an established relationship with a veterinarian. HART's Medical Team will provide his adopters training in the care of a diabetic cat, along with a blood-glucose testing kit, a vial of insulin with related supplies, and a starter supply of canned food. In order to make these preparations, he won't be able to go home on the same day that you meet him.Oswald’s transformation has been remarkable, and he has become a favorite among our volunteers. He is not the biggest fan of some of his feline roommates, so he would probably do best in a single cat household, where he can get all of your attention. He would love to be welcomed into your home and spoiled with all the love that he deserves! Meet this very special boy in Room 4.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As
