Louise loves the finer things in life which is evident in her fondness for wet food, plush cat beds, lofty cat towers, and cozy window perches. Louise`s vocal nature becomes particularly apparent when she`s hungry, asking for attention and sustenance with her melodic meows. With an array of toys, kitty couches, and catnip to indulge her, Louise`s days are filled with joy and contentment as she enjoys her family and their affection. With a heart as golden as her fur, she is open to the company of calm children but would prefer to be the sole pet in the household, snuggling and purring happily with her family. She loves her cozy basket and spends much of her time snuggled up in it, catching up on her beauty sleep. While she can have a sassy streak here and there, it just adds to her charm and personality. Rhyland was picked up in an area that had been devastated by a tornado. He was a bit shy when he came in and comes around more quickly when he has a friendly cat showing him the ropes. He is currently kenneled with Elaine and they love each other!

He was transferred to HART because he is diabetic, and we have a lot of experience with successfully caring for diabetic cats. His diabetes is currently well-managed with a low-carb, canned food only diet (in our shelter, we feed Fancy Feast Classic Pate), and twice-daily insulin injections. We will require that his adopter has a well-established relationship with a veterinarian, because we are committed to the health and happiness of Napoleon and his new guardians even after they leave our shelter. HART's Medical Team will provide his adopter training in the care of a diabetic cat (it’s easier than you think!), along with a blood-glucose testing kit, a vial of insulin with related supplies, and a generous starter amount of canned food. Oswald is a very sweet boy who wants to crawl right into your lap. He is 9 years old and has the cutest big ears and a very soft, brown tabby coat. He came to HART in August after being found as a stray living in a barn. When he first arrived, he was in pretty rough shape, and our Medical Team discovered that he had severely matted fur and significant dental disease, as well as diabetes. Since receiving a dental cleaning with extractions and having the mats shaved, he is feeling much more comfortable and looking so much better! His diabetes is currently managed with a low-carb, canned food only diet (in our shelter, we feed Fancy Feast Classic Pate) and twice-daily insulin injections.
