Henna is in a foster home. To meet her text Rachael at 440-773-0270. Meet Henna! Henna is the longest resident at ARF and to be honest we just aren't sure why! Henna is a fabulous girl that form bonds with her people very quickly. She is incredibly smart knowing sit, down, paw, watch and place. Henna is house trained and can stay in or out of a crate when you aren't home. Henna is a volunteer favorite and we are all rooting for her to find her forever home. Henna's adoption will include free dog food for life and 3 free training sessions with our trainer. Henna is looking for a family without small children, that are experienced dog owners. Henna would love to be the queen of her castle and live without other animals. Henna's ideal owners would also have a fenced in yard. This girl has been waiting too long and working too hard to find her people. Could it be you? If so, please text Rachael at 440-773-0270.

Story
To meet Tuesday, contact Rachael at 440-773-0270 Hi! I'm Tuesday, and I'm hoping someone will adopt me! I'd been in the shelter for quite a while, so in March 2024, I was placed in a foster home so that I could remember what "home was like, and feel the freedom of running and playing in a backyard. If it would help you decide, I'm "all ears if you have any questions at the meet-and-greet! Here's what I know about myself: I'm housebroken! I know how to ring bells or nudge you if I need to go potty. I'm crate-trained! I especially don't mind going into my crate if I have a couple of treat-filled toys to occupy myself when I'm told to "go to the crate. Sometimes I get too excited with treat-filled toys, or want them all to myself, so it might be best to just use them if I'm in the crate. I don't even have to be in a crate! Once my foster mom got to know me, she let me out of the crate on a gradual basis, and then for full days while she was at work. While she's gone, I sleep, watch for squirrels in the backyard, or play with my toys. I'm a fast learner! I know a few commands: stop, sit, down, stay, come, shake paw, no-jump, and off (sometimes I get too excited to see someone come home!). I'm used to being told to "sit before eating from my food dish. Although I'm still working on heeling, I can heel on the left or the right. I know that when I'm told "okay, I can relax from a command. I love toys! Sometimes I enjoy bringing them to you, sometimes I like fetching them, but sometimes I like taking a toy and being by myself for a while. I enjoy watching birds and squirrels! I like chasing squirrels too! I'm athletic, and I love to accompany someone who's walking, jogging, or running. If you're not into that, my favorite activity happens to be running as fast as I can around a yard. I love going for car rides! I'm outside on a regular basis with my foster mom, either around the neighborhood, or hopping in the car for a road trip into the Metro Park, so I've also gotten used to a lot of different environments while on a leash. I love snuggling once I get to know someone! I know what "kisses means, so I'm happy to offer those too once I get to know someone. I've also been working with my foster mom on meeting other dogs and other people when we're out on the trails. Sometimes I'm nervous meeting new people, but once I get to know someone, I'm very happy to be with them!

Story
Whitney is in a foster home. To meet her, contact Rachael at 440-773-0270 Whitney's adoption comes with a free year of baths and grooming from Kismet K9 grooming in Berea! Whitney isn't just looking for someone to dance with; she's also searching for the perfect snuggle buddy! She's the ideal combination of playful and laid-back, making her a wonderful companion for anyone seeking both excitement and relaxation. This sweet girl adores children and loves all humans, but she's "Saving all her Love for You" and prefers to be the only pet in the home. Whitney excels as a car rider, is house trained, and crate trained, although she doesn't need to stay in a crate when left alone. She's mastered basic commands like sit and down, making her a joy to train and interact with. Here's what Whitney's foster has to say about her: "Whitney is a loving, affectionate companion. She greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and a request for lots of pets! She enjoys going for walks and car rides, and she's especially fond of food and treats. While she enjoys playing with toys, Whitney's favorite pastime is snuggling up with you for some love and affection. She's not a fan of loud noises or screaming and prefers to hide. Whitney has a charming low rumble instead of barking. She's housebroken and comfortable in a crate. If you're ready to welcome a devoted and affectionate companion into your life, Whitney is waiting to meet you! Contact Rachael today to arrange a meeting with this loving pup.

Story
Meet Pete, a charming 4-year-old American Staffordshire mix eagerly seeking his forever home! With just a few weeks left in his 12-week stay-and-train program, Pete is counting down the days until he can embark on his next adventure with his new family. To arrange a meet-and-greet with Pete, please contact Rachael at 440-773-0270. Pete has already mastered basic obedience commands like heel, sit, and down, and he's currently honing his stay duration skills. He also keeps his area very clean which indicates he is housetrained and is great in his crate! Plus, he's a pro at giving his paw for treats - such a clever boy! Pete's favorite pastime? Playing with balls! However, his enthusiasm can lead to many balls being shredded, so he'll need tough, indestructible, larger balls to keep him entertained. We have recently learned that Pete likes doggie friends and wouldn't mind sharing his new forever home with one! He also showed his playful side with a kitty he met. His initial shyness around new people quickly fades, revealing his affectionate and loving nature. Pete's athleticism is impressive - he can jump quite high when he's excited - but he responds well to gentle reminders to calm down. Pete would thrive in a home with owners willing to continue his training journey. If you're ready to welcome this sweet and playful pup into your life, don't hesitate to reach out to Rachael to schedule a meet-and-greet. Pete can't wait to meet his perfect match!

Story
To meet Dylan, please contact Rachael at 440-773-0270. Dylan is a charming canine looking for his forever home, accompanied by a beagle buddy, who has been adopted. He is now hoping he can find his forever home as well. Dylan promise he will shower you with all the love and affection his heart holds. One of Dylan's favorite pastimes is enjoying a good petting session, where he leans in and revels in the attention. He loves kids and stayed with one in Kentucky where he was found. Dylan was located in foster in Kentucky for several weeks before transferring to ARF. He was a big love bug and was a great companion! Although Dylan came in with a friend, we aren't sure if he wants to live with another furry friend. However, he is more than willing to try and meet any potential doggie siblings to see if they may be a match. This sweet-natured pup is a gentle soul who thrives on love, attention, and positive interactions. With a bit of time and understanding, Dylan blossoms into a devoted companion who will fill your life with joy and companionship. Also, good news! Dylan is crate and house trained! If you're looking for a loving and loyal companion who appreciates the simple joys of life, consider opening your heart and home to Dylan. He's ready to embark on a new adventure filled with love, cuddles, and cherished moments with his forever family. Adopt Dylan today and watch your days brighten with his presence! Please bring any dogs in the home to meet Dylan as a meet and greet is required before adoption!
