Story
Lindsey and Mindy Hello! I am one half of a twin set of Jack Russell terrier females who are unexpectedly looking for a new home. The reason for that is our owner unfortunately was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is not expected to live very long so his mom (who is 95y/o) decided to let the rescue find us a new and wonderful home. I am Lindsey, the thinner twin. I am not sure why that is exactly, but I am active and think that is part of it. I do yield my food bowl to Mindy, so that may be part of it also. Foster mommy has learned to feed us separately so I get enough to eat, and Mindy can't be a little piggy, but don't tell her I said that, ok? We are 8.5 years old and have been together since the womb, so we are tightly bonded together. We do everything together. We have our own bed that we share and toys that we love that will come with us. I am the more adventurous one and will check out and try new things before Mindy does. She is a little more reserved in her manner. We are both very loving and will happily share your bed if you let us. Foster mommy says we are a dream to walk on a leash and when you pick up a leash, we come running because we love to walk and explore the outside world. It took a little bit of time to figure out that we can go outside in the backyard without a leash on, but we are getting used to going into the back yard, "naked so to speak. We have been well loved over the years and have been to see the vet for all our vaccinations, preventions and in between if we got an Ouchy or anything. Our previous home was the best and we hope our new forever home will be just as great! We get along with dogs, kids, and cats but we can get a little intimidated with the "in your face introductions so please give us little time to adjustt. It won't be long before we are part of the household and a loving member of your family. Our adoption fee is $500.00 locally in Texas. Out of state adoption fee is $700 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Tucker the Chihuahua Hi! My name is Tucker, and I am looking for my forever home. I would like to be able to live on the inside of a house, rather than on the outside all the time. I was found in a mobile home park and some nice people turned me in to a place where I could get a foster mom and get some important stuff caught up...like vaccinations, monthly prevents and oh yea, my belly full of food! I was skinny when I got here but foster mom thinks I was owned before because the first thing I did was jump into foster dad's easy chair and took it over! I do let him sit in it when I am outside doing my potty thing or am eating, but usually you can find me in it. If you look closely, you can see that I have been bullied in the past because my left ear has a little "modification shall we say, along the edges but it is healing up nicely. It gives me a little "rugged look, doesn't it. I am very sweet foster mom says and the only times I make a noise is when I am eating and one of the other dogs comes over and wants to get into my bowl. I do raise a lip and growl at them. Just a warning because I am too little to do much more than bite their ankle. The other time I make noise is when I am in the back yard and see the possum that likes to walk along the top of the fence on the back side of the yard. I let him know I see him and not to come closer! I am protecting the family and all that! I will come when I am called and know my name already. I am potty trained and will make little barky-whimpering noises when I need to go out. Foster mommy has puppy pads out for the ones who aren't so good at potty training and once in a long while, I must use one at night but not very often. That is because I don't have foster mommy trained to my schedule yet, but I am working on it. $200 Local adoption fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area) $50 Fuel temporary fuel surcharge

Story
Pearl came into our family in November 2021 as another family member no longer wanted her. She has always been sweet and cuddly. Her birthday is September 1st, 2021. She has only been around 3 small to medium sized dogs(one being her litter mate) and has been around 3 cats. She has always done well with any animal she was introduced to. She is puppy pad trained while in the house, but will use the bathroom outside. Pearl loves affection and does not like to be confined to an area.

Story
Gunner Hi! I am an explorer and want to see everything! How about you? The reason I ask is because I want to keep seeing everything I can and don't really want to be adopted to be locked in the same old backyard or never going anywhere fun. I want to keep looking around at everything! Foster mom says I am the one who always wanders off and she finds me in some of the strangest places around the house. Usually I find a quiet, secluded spot to take a snooze after exploring a bit but because of my coloring, she says I blend in with too much stuff around her house. Maybe she should get new lighter colored furniture or get her eyes checked because I don't think I am that hard to find. Just look for the big V on my forehead. It is distinctive and makes me look handsome! Anyhow, enough of that. Here is my story. My doggie mama died when I was a week old and I and my 6 siblings were taken to be fed by my bottle baby foster mommy. They split us up as feeding 7 hungry puppers is a lot for anyone to deal with! Fast forward to today. I am 7 weeks old now, being born on 2.11.24. Since I didn't open my eyes until a week after my doggie mama died, I have no idea of what she looked like and wouldn't have a clue who my doggie daddy was, except he probably was the one who gave me my ruggedly good looks! Foster mom thinks I may be a shepherd mix or something like that, but I am not sure how much I would like to herd sheep. Herding cats may be fun. I like cats. Anyhow, if you like to take strolls in the moonlight, or long walks on the beach or even hike in the mountains, they all sound wonderfully fascinating to explore new things! I want a forever home with you! And we can go exploring together! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Brody I wish I was a Belgian Malinois! I look in the mirror and see the rugged dark face and good looks of a Belgian! But I am sure that is wishful thinking. I don't know what I am exactly. I mean I know I am a dog, but what kind is kind of a mystery as we were raised by bottle moms because our real mom died when we were only a week old. I didn't even have my eyes open to see what color she was at that age. But you can't really miss what you never really knew, right? My bottle baby foster mom was good and kept our tummies full! But she stopped giving me bottles about 2 weeks ago and then we started with the kibble and soft stuff which is good too! But I kind of miss being held until I fall asleep, so maybe my new forever family would do that for me, even if there isn't a bottle associated with it. I was born on 2.11.24 so that is the day to put on your calendar so we can celebrate it every year along with my Gotcha Day. We can celebrate your birthday too if you want. I like to hang out with my sister Ruby and sometimes will play with Gunner, when he is not exploring his world that is. And we love to play with Alma, the foster mom's dog with long hair. She lets us crawl all over her and pull her tail and everything. And the cat is cool to play with too. So, I am good with whatever kind of pets you have in the house because I love them all! Please adopt me! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Ruby Hello World! My name is Ruby and I am truly a gem! I am one of a litter of seven whose mom died when we were a week old, and we were raised by bottle mom's. That was cool. All I had to do was whimper a little bit and food arrived! No grub hub charges or anything!! Anyhow, sadly, those days are long gone. I have been eating by myself for a couple of weeks now. I am in a foster house with my 2 brothers, and believe it or not, I am the quiet one. My brother Gunner thinks he is Marco Polo or something and is always off on an adventure of some kind. And my brother Grady is the one I usually hang out with. We can get into lots of fun things just around our big room we have to play in. We like to play with the big black dog, Alma, who lives with foster mom, and she is fun. Brody was looking for a place to drink from on her belly the other day and boy was she surprised! I bet she jumped a foot! But she still likes to play with us and lets us pull her tail. We also like to play with the white cat who lives with us. Foster mom says he thinks he is a dog, but we know he is a cat, because he doesn't smell the same as us. More "catty I think, but I never smelled a cat before. Anyhow, I am looking for a forever home. I am probably going to be a medium sized dog and am maybe a shepherd mix of some sort. Mom died before my eyes were open and I have no idea who dad was. My personality is sweet, and I love people! Will you give me my forever home? Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
