Good with everyone but still so much puppy there.....he will need some basic manners, but has shown his foster mom he is quick to learn. Rue needs a home with a fenced yard and will do best in a home with children over 8 or 9...he still likes to play hard like a puppy. Playful Teddy loves the ladies-and his favorite toys Chickie and Fuzzy. He plays fetch and even plays joyfully by himself. He obeys lots of commands : come/or clap your hands, sit, lie down, stay, leave it, wait (at the door or food bowl), then “OK” to avoid rushing out. He is a 4 year old beagle/chihuahua, so he loves hunting in the yard, is a great mouser, and has an adorable little high-pitched howl that always makes me laugh. He does zoomies. He lets you know that there is someone near your house, but can stop barking when you go to check them out and tell him it’s OK. He is afraid of men and it takes a long time to accept a man, which can be done by walking along with his lady owner. I got him a year ago, before I met a special man in my life. He does not warm up fully to my partner, and “protects me” from him, thus the reason to move him to an all female household. He will bite an unfamiliar man, and must be introduced with a muzzle on at first (repair man, for example).

Meet Eliza, a sweet 6-year-old gal in search of her forever home. She is in a foster home since she was very nervous and scared in the shelter (we don`t blame her). Since being out and in a home environment, Eliza has really opened up! Her foster dad leaves her uncrated at night with no issues, and says that she is well-trained, polite and super smart! Even though she is trained, she will still need time to adjust to a new home and she is still a little nervous around strangers. She is also a very strong young lady and will need someone who can match her energy and strength. Eliza`s foster dad says that her ideal home would be a family to wear her out and take her for long walks. She plays ROUGH with other dogs, and does best with strong dogs her size who can match her.
