Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Loving and obedientPretty Izzy was a resident of the dog pound, her now foster mom saw the potential in this loving and obedient girl and she took Izzy into her home in order to give her a better chance at finding a "furever" home. Izzy is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. She is heart worm negative and on monthly heartworm preventative. Izzy loves toys and playing fetch. She knows a number of commands such as sit, shake, lay down and stay. She is house broken and so considerate that when she had to vomit after her spay surgery, she ran to the door to go outside! She has not been crated and has been reliable left alone in the house. Izzy likes to play hard, so children are not in the picture for her. At the pound she was noted to do well in a dog play group. She will require a fenced yard in order to expend some energy.  Izzy is not a Rose's Rescue dog. She is located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and her adoption fee is $150. We are posting her in hopes of helping her caregiver find  Izzy a permanent home. Home owners only apply. Please contact Jennifer Knights at 330-703-0331 or jaknghts44@gmail.com if you are interested in this remarkable girl.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 5, 2024, 8:50 am

Story
*** BONDED PAIR; EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS ** 'Lil' (aka 'Lillian') and 'Phil' (aka 'Phillip') are 2 of the most wonderful, affectionate, sweet and joyful pooches we have ever known. Lil is a 5 yr. old, 65-70 lb. fawn brindle Staffordshire terrier female and Phil is a 4 yr old, 80-85 lb. Staffordshire terrier/curly coated/Chesapeake Bay retriever mix male. They are the best of friends and make a tremendous duo. They are affectionate, kind, gentle, loving cuddle bugs with a silly, playful side. Incredibly eager to please, obedient, loyal and attentive. They are like sunshine on a rainy day; you simply cannot be in a sad mood around them. Words cannot justify how truly wonderful they are; people adore them when they meet their sweet, kind natures. All they want to do is to love and be loved. One of the greatest duos we've ever known, each being super special in their own right but combined they are magic. They compliment each other so well, being each other's anchor and best friend, they deserve to continue to live together and spread their combined joy. Lil is spayed; Phil is is neutered. Both dogs are fully vaccinated, de-wormed, have been on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not do it's own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition. Story
*** BREED EXPERIENCED OWNERS ONLY, PLEASE *** 'NASH' is a handsome, 1.5 yr. old old, 75 lb. German/Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix male, that has 'double dew claws' on his back legs. Nash is a big couch potato and a silly boy. Nash knows basic commands: sit, wait, break (release), come and shake, and he will gladly practice each for a treat or a meal. Nash is a sweet, smart, affectionate and obedient boy, but initially leery of strangers. On leash, without distractions, he is a good boy and a pleasure to walk. Nash likes to play fetch and loves his treats, both which are great ways to win him over, make him more comfortable, and begin bonding. Nash warms to you and loves being petted, sitting next to you, and just basically 'hanging out'. Nash's optimal home would be a quiet, low stimulation one with a confident, calm, breed-experienced owner willing to help him build confidence as he matures and knows how to positively direct and mitigate/manage the breed characteristic traits of guard dogs through exercise, training and positive reinforcement techniques. (He is both highly food motivated as well as praise driven). A home with high energy, volume or traffic would not suit Nash, so children would not a good fit with him. Nash loves other dogs, especially playful females. Through a fence he may bark, but then run alongside with others. He has a strong prey drive and is territorial, so he needs a fenced in yard. Nash is neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not do its own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.left eye has been removedDNA TESTED: ONE FREE TRAINING SESSION WITH ADOPTION: My name is Gretel! I am a really cool ,happy girl. I weigh in at 36 pounds and I am 3 years. I have a beautiful light brindle coat.  I am a short, smaller pitty girl. I wandered in the park for a week, before some kind people were able to trap me. I guess my owner left me there on purpose, my harness was so tight that it had to be cut off. What a horrible experience that was. I was so scared and when your person dumps you, my confidence went out the door. My foster mom took me to the vet right away to get my abrasions treated and to find out what was wrong with my left eye. It turns out that I have a condition called dry eye. I had my eye removed  October 19th and now I am ready for a new home. I hope you don't mind that I wink at you. I think an eye patch would make me look cool. I come across wrong to other dogs, because I have the little dog syndrome. I need to be the only dog in the home and don't need to see lots of other dogs on my walks. I LOVE my walks.  Definitely no cats. I am crate trained, house trained and totally vetted. I am very obedient  and loving. I will bark a little if someone is at your door and then I settle down and want to be friends. I am living with a young boy in my foster home. He is my buddy, so I am child safe. My people are the apple of my eye, even if there is only one eye(LOL) I will be fine in my crate while you are gone and a couple of walks a day and some time to play with squeaky toys will make me happy. I can be trusted not to bother anything in your home.Isn't there someone out there who doesn't care if I don't like  interacting with other dogs. Not all dogs do ,you know. I have had a Wisdom Panel DNA test and it turns out that I am a very large Chihuahua, at least 8% of me is. Check out my DNA results, there is much more in the report than is posted on my page and that will be available to my adopter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Hello, my name is Koco and I am in need of a new home. My foster mom says I am a 65 lb puppy, that does not have a mean bone in my body.I am a loving girl. Playing is my thing. I love to play with other dogs, but it would have to be a medium to large sized dog that likes to play. I would be a great companion to your dog.  I am a bit too rough for the little guys. I might be a little too rough for cats also. I am looking for an active family, with a fenced yard. If physical fence, it needs to be 5 feet or over. I love treats and will sit gently taking the treat from your hand. I would not do well around small children as I could knock them over, but older children would be great. I am a lovey dovey.  I am around 3 years old and weigh in at around 65 lbs and reported to be a really fun, loving, happy girl. If I am the girl for you please fill out an online application so we can meet and fall in love!! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ONE FREE TRAINING SESSION WITH ADOPTIONACTIVE EXPERIENCED ADOPTER NEEDED Time for an update on me! My name is Beau. I was surrendered  to the rescue by my family, because I was nipping at the younger children. There were far too many children(6) to pick on me. I've been with my foster mom for a year now and I think we have a few things straightened out, regarding what kind of a home I need. I'm currently living in a quiet country home with a fenced yard where I can expend some energy chasing the squirrels.. We have a routine and infrequent visitors. There are other little dogs here and we get along fine, but I do not like strange dogs and would be best as an only pet. I like to play with  squeaky toys, rope toys and nyla bones, am reliably house and crate trained and love to ride in the car and snuggle with foster mom when our day is done.  I will be 3 years old soon, weigh 23 lbs. and have the cutest underbite. I am healthy, low maintenance, caught up on all my vaccinations and heart worm negative. I am VERY REACTIVE to new people and situations(stranger danger) and will bark and show fear aggression. I can be worked through this, if you have experience at socializing reactive dogs. It will be a work in progress to help me. IF YOU HAVE A QUIET HOME, WITH NO CLOSE NEIGHBORS OR CHILDREN, we could be best friends.  Please see lots of pictures  and more about me on my Facebook page under Rose's Rescue Facebook. Did I mention I am very smart(and cute!)?  If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:  adoption application For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website  www.rosesrescue.net  to fill out the online adoption application.
