Story
Akela may look like a tiny forest creature with her stubby tail and scruffy, chupacabra-chic vibe, but don’t let her wild appearance fool you — this girl is all heart. Rescued from a hoarding case alongside her sister, Akela is slowly learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She’s got a quirky spark, a playful spirit, and a deep loyalty that shines once she feels safe. Equal parts gremlin and cuddlebug, Akela is ready to leave her rough start behind and find a home that appreciates her for the wonderfully weird gem she is.

Story
Meet Pip! When we first shared her story, she was in heartbreaking condition after years of life as a puppy mill momma. While she still has some progress to make, Pip has already come so far — and every day, she takes big steps forward! She’s starting to make friends with the other dogs and has completely fallen in love with the staff who care for her daily. One of her favorite discoveries? Grass! After likely never feeling it before, she’s learned that grass is an amazing thing — soft, cool, and perfect for stretching out and soaking up the sunshine. Being outside is one of her greatest joys now. She’s healed beautifully from her surgeries and is finally ready to find a home where she can relax, feel safe, and just be herself. Pip will still need someone patient to guide her — she’s learning house training and the basics, but more than anything, she needs someone willing to let her grow and show her what love truly feels like. Could you be the one to give Pip the peaceful life she’s always deserved?

Story
Kyra is a stunning 7-year-old Husky with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. Recently returned after an adoption, she’s now searching again for a forever home — one that understands the power of patience and kindness. Like many dogs who have been used for breeding, Kyra is still learning to trust. She’s slow to warm up to new people, but once she feels safe, she reveals her affectionate side. When she saw us again, she quietly sat next to us and leaned in for love — a small moment that spoke volumes. Kyra absolutely loves other dogs and would do best in a home with canine companions who can help build her confidence. She’ll need continued work on potty training and gentle guidance as she adjusts to life in a loving home. With the right person or family, Kyra will blossom. All she needs is someone willing to go at her pace and give her the time she deserves. If you have a soft spot for shy dogs and a heart ready to help one bloom, Kyra just might be your perfect match.

Story
At 7 months old, Beavus is a shy, dopey, and incredibly sweet puppy with a heart full of love. He’s a little "special" in his own charming way, and he’s looking for a patient person to help him grow into the confident dog he’s destined to be. One of Beavus’ quirkiest loves? His duck raincoat! When he’s wearing it, he can’t help but strut around in pure joy—he’s just a little dopey, a little goofy, and all kinds of adorable. He’ll need a gentle hand to guide him, but once he’s comfortable, Beavus will be your most loyal, loving companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, shy pup who loves a good rainy day in his duck coat, Beavus might just be your perfect match. Patience, love, and a few cozy cuddle sessions are all he needs to blossom.

Story
Sweet Boo was found tied to our bench one morning—confused, scared, and unsure why she had been left behind. The moment we saw her, we fell in love. Boo is an incredibly affectionate and gentle soul who thrives on human connection. She’s all cuddles, tail wags, and unwavering loyalty. Playful and full of personality, Boo is, at heart, just a small lap dog who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She loves being around others and would do best in a home where she’s truly treated like family—because that’s all she’s ever wanted.

Story
Thor may be named after a god of thunder, but he’s as gentle as a summer breeze. At 7 years old, this handsome German Shepherd was heartbreakingly dropped off at a vet clinic to be euthanized when his family decided they didn’t want him anymore. But Thor’s story didn’t end there — it’s just beginning. Despite everything he’s been through, Thor is incredibly sweet, calm, and trusting. He walks like a dream on a leash, loves quiet time, and has the kind of mellow, easygoing personality that makes him the perfect companion. He’s currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, and what he needs most right now is a peaceful place to rest, recover, and rediscover what love truly feels like. Thor is searching for a foster or forever home where he can heal — not just physically, but emotionally too. He deserves a family that sees him for the treasure he is, and one that will never give up on him again. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a gentle soul who's ready to love you back tenfold, Thor is waiting for you.
