Story
Scout first came to SPCA Cincinnati in 2020 but was adopted quickly after. In August of 2024, her owner had to surrender Scout back to SPCA Cincinnati due to no fault of her own. Scout is a loyal and sweet mixed breed lady. She patiently waits for her forever family to come along and choose her. However, Scout has now been at the shelter for a total of 169 days and counting. Scout loves going for walks and playing with toys. Scout needs a home with no other dogs. We recommend ALL family members in the household be present for the meet n` greet to ensure a smooth transition from shelter to home life. You can meet with Scout any day of the week at SPCA Cincinnati (11900 Conrey Road) from 12p-6p. Scout is available for Adoption, Foster-To-Adopt or a Paw Pass Adventure. A “Paw Pass” is a hall pass for dogs for either the day or an overnight. Resident dogs can not accompany a day pass but can be introduced on an overnight or weekend pass. For more information about fostering, email foster@spcacincinnati.org.

Story
Meet Shadow! This 6 year old Rottweiler/Cane Corso mix may appear scary at first look, but as they say `Looks can be deceiving`. Shadow is a playful and affectionate giant who loves to be loved on. We are unsure how he is with other companion animals, though when passing other dogs on walks he always seems eager to play with them. Although he is a sweet boy we would recommend any interested adopters with young children to use discretion and bring in all household members for a meet and greet due to Shadow`s size.

Story
Demory is a high energy boy, who will need plenty of space to run and play. With being a hound mix, Demory has a high prey drive and likes to chase small animals. Hounds were selectively bred for their exceptional tracking abilities and keen sense of smell, so his nose is always at work exploring and sniffing everything. Demory will need consistent and ongoing training and would greatly benefit from having a job to do. Interactive toys, puzzle feeders, snuffle mats, training sessions, and scent work games, as well as, regular walks/runs in new environments, playing fetch, and teaching new tricks, all provide mental enrichment to keep him being the best boy he can be. While we are not sure how Demory would do with children, we do know he can be choosey with his dog friends. With having a high prey drive he needs to go to a home without cats. If you have other dogs or children at home, please bring them in for a meet and greet to see if they are compatible. If you would like to meet Demory, please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit him and all our other adoptable pets.

Story
Kingston is a high-energy dog who loves to run and play catch. He has lived with children aged 10 and older and enjoys their company. While he gets along well with other dogs during playtime—particularly females—he prefers to be the only dog in the household. Kingston knows commands like `sit` and `no,` but will benefit from consistent and ongoing training and mental stimulation to keep him at his best. Although he was housebroken upon arrival, he may need a refresher due to his time in the shelter. He thrives on attention and belly rubs, is treat-motivated, and walks best using a harness. Additionally, Kingston has a unique trait—he enjoys `singing the song of his people,` adding a delightful touch to his personality. By providing Kingston with a loving home, consistent training, and the attention he craves, you`ll gain a loyal and active companion ready to share in many adventures. If you would like to meet Kingston, please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit him and all our other adoptable pets.

Story
Luna is a sweet, affectionate girl who’s ready to fill your home with love and cuddles. One of her favorite things in the world? Giving big, heartfelt hugs! She thrives on attention and loves being close to her people. She would benefit from consistent training and enrichment in order to thrive in her new home.Luna has done well with other dogs and could be a great addition to a home with a friendly canine companion. She has also lived with kids. If you happen to have either at home, we highly recommend bringing them in for a meet-and-greet to ensure a good match. However, she’s not a fan of cats and will likely chase them, so a cat-free home is best. She has been house-trained, but may need a refresher after being in a shelter setting. Luna is looking for a loving forever home where she can give and receive all the affection she has to offer. Come visit Luna here at the SPCA Cincinnati and all of our other adoptable pets!
