Story
This is Red, he is 4, born Jan 11, 2021. We got Red in Greenville, South Carolina from a hunter who was breeding his redbones but not registering them. We've never had to do this before, we've had several large dogs that we've kept until they passed away at almost 14 years old. Because of medical problems we just can't keep him. He doesn't jump on people, he is sweet and loving. All the neighborhood kids come to the fence, pet him and love on him. He plays with our 8 lb dog and our 12-year-old Blue Tick, both female, they are both spayed and he is neutered. He has regularly been around small children with no issues. Anyone who's had a red bone can imagine how hard this is for us, this was my husband's dream dog and we love him so much but he is not getting the love and attention he deserves.

Story
Adopted in Louisville in 2014 at around a year old. He is low energy and gets along okay with cats and dogs, but can be territorial around food. Would do best in a home without other dogs or small kids. Very low maintenance, very well house trained and enjoys laying on the couch or dog bed. Crate trained but sleeps in a room with dog bed. Leash trained but can pull. Would be a great fit for a couple or someone with a fenced outdoor area as he enjoys spending time outside on the deck.

Story
We cannot get enough of this sweet little face! Meet BRANCH, an adorable little mixed breed girl looking for a home. She's a petite 1-2 year old 19 pound jet black girl. Our best guess on breed mix is pug/Italian greyhound, probably with a few other breeds mixed in. She has a puggy face and the lean long legged body of a sighthound. Her long legs make her look like a big dog, but she's so much smaller than she appears in photos. Branch is such a fun bouncy girl. She loves toys and treats. Branch loves to run and play in the the yard with her foster siblings and always sleeps cuddled up with another dog, so she needs a home with another playful dog and a physically fenced yard. She's very curious about cats, not aggressive, but can be a pest. She should be fine with a dog-savvy cat who doesn't put up with canine nonsense. Branch loves making friends with everyone she meets. If you'd like to meet Branch, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Blanche at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! This distinguished gentleman is KOBE, formerly known as Moses. Kobe was adopted from SDHR back in March 2020. He's now back with the rescue through no fault of his own and in need of a new home. Kobe is a mixed breed boy, probably some type of lab mix. Handsome Kobe is mostly black with brindle highlights and a docked tail. He's 8-9 years old and 43 pounds. Kobe is a good natured chill guy, in the low/medium energy range. He likes to play and go for walks, but he's also perfectly content to chill on the sofa with his people. Kobe is okay with another dog as a roommate but he's not looking for a playmate. He would be perfectly happy as an only dog. No kitties for Kobe, though. Kobe is housebroken and crate trained. He's best suited to a home where he won't be left alone for long hours, he just loves to be with people. If you'd like to meet this gem of a dog, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Kobe at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. Story
BLOSSOM is a sweet petite mixed breed girl looking for a home. She's around 2 years old and fully grown at just 21 pounds. She appears to be a puggle-type mix, maybe 75% beagle/25% pug? That's our best guess. Blossom is timid in new situations and when meeting new people but warms up quickly with yummy treats. She's best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard and a friendly dog who will help her navigate her new life. Blossom landed in a rural shelter with her sister Butterfly. If you'd like to meet beautiful little girl, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Blossom at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.
