Meet Eliza, a sweet 6-year-old gal in search of her forever home. She is in a foster home since she was very nervous and scared in the shelter (we don`t blame her). Since being out and in a home environment, Eliza has really opened up! Her foster dad leaves her uncrated at night with no issues, and says that she is well-trained, polite and super smart! Even though she is trained, she will still need time to adjust to a new home and she is still a little nervous around strangers. She is also a very strong young lady and will need someone who can match her energy and strength. Eliza`s foster dad says that her ideal home would be a family to wear her out and take her for long walks. She plays ROUGH with other dogs, and does best with strong dogs her size who can match her. I have a high prey drive and should not go to a home with small animals, because I like to chase them. Since he is still pretty young he has a lot of energy and would do best in an active household with plenty of space to run and play. Every day, we`re uncovering more about Dottie`s unique quirks and personality, and so far, she`s proven to be a bundle of joy and love. She appears to have a fondness for other dogs, but proper socialization and consistent training would be beneficial for her continued growth and happiness. Dottie was house broken and crate trained when she came to us, but may need a refresher due to being in a shelter setting. Dottie is great with kids ages 0 and up years old, making her a potential perfect fit for families. Dottie has a high prey drive and a hound mentality so she will chase ducks, Cats, chickens etc. and would do best in a home with out any of those. She loves to run and play fetch. Dottie`s favorite thing is to snuggle up with her pillow and blanket and take a nap. If you have any family members or other dogs at home, we strongly encourage you to bring them in for a meet-and-greet to ensure compatibility and harmony.
