Story

We acquired Major about 2 months ago. His previous family was never home and they wanted a family that could be around. Major came from a home with children and cats. He had no behavioral problems and was very well-trained. We fell in love with him instantly as he is super cuddly and very obedient. He loves to play and run outside. Major started marking in our home because we have 2 other male dogs. We were hopeful he would stop this behavior over time but it is clear he needs to be in a home with no dogs so he won't mark. Previous owners assured us that he never had accidents so we are confident this is a behavioral issue. Major is a Bernadoodle. He is an unfurnished Bernadoodle which simply means his face is shaped like a Bernese Mountain Dog. He does need grooming as he is a doodle mix. Major would thrive in a home with a large yard. He is very obedient and will return when called.

Brooklyn is approximately 4 yrs old. She can be shy with new people at first but if given time she warms up and enjoys attention. We are unaware of how she is with kids and cats. She should meet any new dog before adoption is approved and a decision is made. She does have accidents in her kennel so she may need housetrained. She does know some commands and will work for food. Boone is a 54 lbs Boxer mix. He is friendly and seems to be ok with other dogs....he loves to play. He will need to meet any new housemate prior to adoption being approved. Boone is around 1 yr old. We do not know how he is with cats or children. He keeps his kennel area clean for the most part but will have accidents on occasion. Bo will need a home that is super patient and willing to give him time to decompress. You will also have to come to the shelter more than once to visit with him. He is fine with our staff but takes time to warm up to ALL new people. He reacts ok to some dogs but MUST meet and new housemates. He was in a home prior to coming here, for a short time, and they said he would growl at their children from time to time (which is why they brought him to us). So we suggest NO children. Flash is a 1 yr old Pitbull/Boxer mix. He is fearful and concerned over new people so patience is necessary with him. We suspect this may be a reaction to being abandoned. He was removed from a property after being left alone for several days. He is playful and loves snacks. He will walk ok on leash but does pull some. Flash is young and will need some basic obedience but he does already know some commands. As part of the adoption process we require all dogs to meet your current dogs before adoption is approved. Anyone interested should stop in to meet him and complete an application if interested.
