Story
Levi is looking for his forever home! Levi was born 11/2023 so he will be 1 year old in about 3 weeks. He is a Running Walker Foxhound and seems to be on the smaller side of the breed weighing around 50 pounds. Levi is great in the car, and he will need a home with plenty of space for him to run and play. Levi is good with other dogs and a very smart boy! He already knows many commands. Levi is currently taking private training sessions at Dog Gone Crazy. A Canine and Feline FUNhouse and doing great! He's mastering walking nice on a leash and working on a great training foundation. Levi does best with children 16 years old or older as smaller children make him uncomfortable. Levi is very friendly and doesn't jump on his people for attention. Levi will make a great outdoor active partner for some lucky family! If you're interest in Levi, email therescueinn@gmail.com or submit an adoption application here as a next step: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html

Story
Update on Charlie: Charlie has been settling into his foster home and is doing very well. He enjoys taking walks, playing ball, and being outside. He absolutely craves being the center of attention and is more than happy to sit by your side, letting you pet him until one of you falls asleep. He has started working on clicker training to learn basic commands. He does a great job in his crate and is working on learning to settle and rest outside of the crate as well. Charlie was a last-minute save from a shelter in Ohio. Charlie has had a rough start in life and needs some structure and guidance to be the best dog he can be! He currently is in a boarding facility, where he is well-loved by the staff, and we are looking to place him into a foster home soon. He has an injury to his left rear thigh but is recovering nicely. He loves going on walks and does well on leash. He also enjoys playing ball in the yard. From what we've seen and tested, he seems to do well with other dogs but we would recommend only one other dog in the house with him. He doesn't do well with cats, since he wants to chase them. He is house and crate trained, neutered and UTD on vaccines. See Charlie and all his friends on our page https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs Location: Northeast Ohio Contact: team@midwestbordercollierescue.org

Story
Ozzie was given to us as a puppy back in 2018 after our former dog died. Ozzie is a playful dog and enjoys chew-toys and similar items and loves to run around outdoors. Our backyard is fenced so this kept Ozzie from wandering, however, Ozzie also enjoys being out front on an ordinary dog chain. Ozzie becomes very attached to humans who care for him and he is a loyal dog. Ozzie is a bit larger than the average dog and makes a wonderful watch dog as he barks when he sights people near the home and of course, always barks when the mail man passes by. Ozzie is generally a quiet sedate dog who enjoys finding a warm corner to curl up in and sleep. Ozzie gets very excited after being left alone for a while and then leaps and jumps when his owners arrive home. Ozzie is a very good watch dog with a bark that deters strangers from approaching your home.

Story
London is now going for walks and getting right in my lap for attention and snuggles. He is afraid of cars but once in the park he is good. He is a little weary of strangers getting too close but he is not afraid of other dogs. He only backs away a little for people. He is getting better with the cars every day he likes to sit and watch them pass as opposed to running for his life. I have been working on a bit of cooperative care and I can hold his paws, check his ears and teeth. He is afraid of tools. He goes in a corner for brushing but tolerates it fine. He still loves playing with the other dogs and is not very sound sensitive anymore. He is doing so well and now that he knows the driveway is not the scariest thing in the world he loves the walks. London is pretty amazing. In less than two weeks he has gone from barely getting out of his crate with humans present to soliciting scratchies. He plays with Miss Blueberry, our Aussie pup for hours every day. He is for sure going to become a cuddle bug. He also loves to follow us humans around and watch what we are doing. He is still skittish about new things but is adjusting very well and very quickly with the help of his foster sister. He is still scared to go outside though. Please reach out for more info and watch for updates as he develops in his foster home. Please visit London and his friends on our web page. https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs Location: Northern Illinois Contact: team@midwestbordercollierescue.org

Meet Speckles! Speckles is so gorgeous! This sweet lady will be 2 years old this April on the 9th. She is a medium sized pit mix. Speckles is currently with our friends at Dog Gone Crazy. A Canine and Feline FUNhouse (DGC) because she needs a foster home! Speckles would like a place to crash or better yet, a forever home! Speckles is a smart little lady and trains with Gary all the time at DGC. Here she is showing TRI volunteer Jen how she's a good leash walker! Speckles knows sit and down. She is good with all aspects of grooming (nails, brushing, bath, ears, teeth, touching body, blowdryer and towel). Story
Meet Violet! Violet got to spend time with her friends at Greystone Veterinary Hospital + Urgent Care on Monday to get her shots updated! And she's filled her schedule later this week to go see her friends at Camp Bow Wow Strongsville to see if she'll do well in daycare! Violet is so sweet and pretty, yet she's had virtually zero interest because she's a pittie. Violet came to TRI on March 10th LAST YEAR! Wouldn't it be amazing if she could find her forever home so she doesn't hit the 1 year mark? Violet is the perfect age at about 3 years old! She is potty trained and does great with the other dog in her foster home. Violet is social and attends a lot of TRI events. She has a gorgeous brindle with white accented coat. Oh, and she's the perfect size at 60 lbs to cuddle! If you're interest in Violet, email us at therescueinn@gmail.com or complete an adoption application here: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html
