Story
Sweet Ginger is being returned to us after being in a home about 5 months.  They loved her and are heartbroken but Ginger has high prey drive for free roaming chickens.  That being said she must have a secure fenced in yard, a privacy fence is preferred or at least one that is 5 ft high.  She seems to be fine with other dogs after a proper introduction including small ones.  Ginger could also flourish as an only dog as she loves her people.  She has not been around cats so we are unsure but based on her prey drive a home without cats would be best.   Children should be older and respectful.  Ginger is about 8 years old and 50 lbs, a nice manageable size. She is fully vetted and had a dental last fall.   Ginger is housetrained and loves to ride in the car.  She can be left with the run of the house while you are gone without issue.  Ginger has the most adorable smile, we think it is adorable.   If interested in Ginger, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.  Her adoption fee is $150.October 27, 2024, 7:14 pm

Story
Meet Tubbs. We are finding a new home for this boy due to his current caregiver's work schedule.  We are thinking he is around 4 years old as his current caregiver only adopted him about a year ago. Tubbs weighs around 55 pounds. He is Aussie /Blue Heeler mix. Tubbs is  house trained and crate trained. He has been around a few children and has done well. He would do best as the only dog and probably no cats. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. Tubbs is a very sweet boy who enjoys cuddles and loves to explore outside.  His adoption fee is $175. If interested in Tubbs, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.  November 6, 2024, 5:13 pm

Story
I first adopted Boomer in November of 2021, from a shelter while living in Florida! Which makes him about 7 years old. All of my friends and family commonly referred to as “the sweetest boy”. Probably because how much he loves to cuddle. His favorite things are going on jogs, hikes, or playing tug. He is a high energy dog when you want him to be but sleepy dog most of the time so he will be ready for any fun adventure! House trained and trained on basic commands. However, Boomer must be in a one dog household. My family and I recently had the blessing of bringing in the life of our son. Which puts us in a desperate situation due to the fact Boomer and one of his other brothers no longer get along. Hoping to find our pup a new forever home.

Story
UPDATE Sissy as shown in the newest picture priviously an only dog shows that she has. decided to smuggle with another furry friend, who knew? a very peasant surprise indeed. She proves that seniors can do new things. UPDATE 9/4/24 Sissy has had a chiropractor adjustment. She is warming up to people. Knowing that she was raised by a lady in an apartment lets us know how comfortable she would be in a similar situation. She also "Baroo"'s when she wants to go outside to potty. Her weight looks good on her at 27#'s now. One other dog for a companion would be ideal and multiple dogs may overwhelm her as something she isn't used to during her 16 yrs. Time spent acclimating her to more dogs may do her good to learn. Sissy can be left alone for a period of time, would curl up and sleep Im sure. Sissy, 16 yrs old in March 2024, was taken in from a one time owner who is currently in a Nursing Home. This wonderful lady spent some time overweight but is now at a prime 28#'s. She is spayed, agile with a very slight limp, takes treats gently, has been in mulitple dog homes for visits, on thyroid medication controlled and maintained. She lived in a first floor apartment but has shown she can do steps. Sissy can potty on leash or in a fenced in area. She isn't a typical lap dog but friendly loves to be petted on the head. As with all dogs Sissy learned silly habits and if you scratch her back end she thinks shes going outside for a walk. She keeps a subtle awareness of her surroundings.

Story
Senna is energetic, playful, and LOVES to wrestle with her four-legged foster brothers. She enjoys playing fetch, chasing the resident dogs around the yard, rolling on her back in the grass, or just lying in the sun chewing a bone. When she’s not busy playing, she loves to snuggle and can’t seem to get enough pets and hugs. She rarely barks and everyone always comments on how quiet she is. She does a great job keeping her crate clean and doesn’t mind sleeping in her crate at night. She does her business outside and has only had a few accidents in the house. She does not signal when she needs to go out, so she will need to be kept on a schedule. Senna still has a lot of puppy energy and would do well with a patient family to help her work on puppy behaviors like jumping and mouthing. If you are interested in adding this little love bug to your family, fill out an application ASAP! All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 2 Years Adoption fee: $300

Story
Dingo is 80% puppy and 20% ears! Dingo is a 1 year old Shepherd mix and has yet to grow into his ears. He loves to play with other dogs and absolutely loves kids. He is a great alarm clock and enjoys getting his 2-legged foster siblings out of bed in the morning. He plays hard and loves to snuggle when he is worn out. Dingo caught on to potty training fast and is doing great in his crate. He is still a puppy and is working hard to not jump on people. He takes redirection very well and has been working on learning commands. Dingo is a clumsy goofball who gets carried away while playing and will sometimes run into things. He is a sweetheart that would love to find his forever family. If you are interested in meeting Dingo, fill out an application ASAP! All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
