Hi, I'm Ash. I've been through a lot, and I'm still searching for my happy ending. When I first came to FDHS, I was in rough shape. I was a stray with a painful hip injury and was pretty freaked out. The kind people at FDHS took care of me, fixed my hip, and showed me lots of love. I got adopted once and for a little while, I though I'd found my forever. But it turns out it wasn't the right fit. I don't really do well with being left alone for long periods. It makes me feel scared and unsure- I need someone I know I can count on to come back for me. I prefer a quieter lifestyle and would love nothing more than a steady home where I can feel safe and loved. I'll be honest- I'm a little stubborn sometimes, but I'm also a really big softie who loves really hard. I'll be your shadow, your protector, and your biggest fan. I get along fine with other animals, but because of my hip, I need a more gentle playmate. I just want a person who won't give up on me. Someone who sees my past quirks and understands that I've been hurt before. If you can give me the love and stability I've been searching for, I promise to give you my whole heart in return.Will you be my forever?**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Greta is the definition of a gentle soul. Recently surrendered after her previous owners could no longer care for her, this sweet older lady is adjusting to a whole new world at FDHS. And while shelter life can be a little overwhelming, Greta has been nothing but kind and loving to everyone she meets.She’s a curvy queen (okay, she’s a little chonky!), so she’s on a new health journey with a diet and more outdoor time to help her feel her best. In her previous home, she didn’t get outside much or have the chance to exercise, but now she’s soaking up the fresh air, taking in all the sniffs, and loving the extra attention from her caregivers.Greta may still be a little nervous with all the hustle and bustle of the shelter, but what she really wants is a quiet, cozy home where she can relax, be loved, and enjoy her golden years. I’m Huckleberry, but you can call me Huck—your soon-to-be best friend and adventure buddy!I showed up at FDHS as a stray, and even though my old folks never came looking for me, I just know my perfect family is out there. He and his brother Zeus ( on the right) have been together since they were born, and we would love to find them a loving home that would consider taking them both to keep them together.. Zeus, on the right, is a sweetie and loves belly rubs and playing as well..
