Story
Gracie is five years old. She is a pitbull mix. Gracie is spayed and housebroken. She is also micro chipped. Gracie loves her people fiercely and greets you with a wagging tail and wiggling body. Gracie loves to play with toys, chew on bones, play tug with the rope, hunt lizards and sniff the ENTIRE yard. She is not the biggest fan of clothing. She loves to give kisses and snuggle and is happy to sleep on the end of the bed if given the opportunity. She is afraid of loud noises such as fireworks. Her arch nemesis is the vacuum. She would be best suited for a home without cats or small dogs.

Story
Mookie gets along well with ANY HUMAN as well as kittens and puppies (Mookie thinks little animals are sooooo cute!). She is so friendly that she would never be your watchdog, but would relish the title of Couch Companion. Mookie is house trained with no accidents and currently uses a doggie door. As with every dog, you may have to work with her to get her on a regular potty schedule or establish a doggy communication system for her potty needs. Mookie has some special health needs. Mookie has a compressed tailbone which causes her to have limited mobility in her hind legs. The good news is that she is now fully stabilized. It is possible she will eventually need wheels for her hind legs. For now, she is on inexpensive daily pain relief. Mookie tires easily, though loves to play with dogs her size. So, Mookie won’t need long walks, but would love a sunny napping space instead. Due to gastrointestinal sensitivities, Mookie will always need hydrolyzed dog food. Your vet will know which type and brand will be best. Sweet Mookie is an American Bully. This breed has been recognized by the European Bully Kennel Club and the United Kennel Club. American Bullies have been bred to be a human companion dog. Mookie is about 3 years old, spayed, vaccinated, potty-door trained, and about 45 pounds. Note: This is a curtesy post for a friend of Crazy Cats. Mookie is not in our care. Please call Lynette to discuss Mookie and her adoption at 513-605-0771.

Story
Monkey! My baby.... I hate to have to rehome my baby, but my living arrangements have changed, unexpectedly. Moving in with elderly parent and would not be safe to have a full of life puppy running around the house. I rescued Monkey when she was 10 weeks old from Humane Assoc Warren Co. She has been my therapy. Monkey is full of life and loves human interaction, chasing tennis balls, new flavored bones, running free- supervised, LOTS of energy! Monkey is close to being house broken as well. I have spoiled her with her feeding and add cooked chicken with broth to her meals. Sometimes scrambled eggs with cheese :) I want her to have a loving forever home. Human interaction and plenty of exercise. Monkey loves people, cats- unknown, other dogs- the normal sniffing and wanting to play. Children, she loves kids, but Monkey fails to realize her weight. DOB 4/18/24. New bed will come with her. Crate trained-partially. Very loving pup! Rescue paperwork included-

Story
Hi, I am Rosie and I am super shy. I am about 6 years old, have been with HART since June 2021 and am looking for a home to call my own. I came from a hoarding situation where over 150 doggies just like me were living together in a small house. My ideal space will either be with one of my friends (King is extra snuggly) or in a home with a dog about my size to hang around. I am a pretty easy going gal and am not territorial about my food, toys or treats. I don't mind cats but a doggie friend is a must for me. I am happiest if I get to roam around a yard with a fence as I have rarely been on a leash and just don't like it. I think I could learn to love humans and their attention but I will need time and patience as I am just learning what it is like to be loved. Think you might be the family for me? Please fill out an adoption application NOW at rescueahart.org as I have been waiting way too long for a place to call my own!

Story
Do you want a small dog companion but NOT a lap dog? Do you want a dog who will run from you rather than towards you? Do you want a dog who prefers the company of other dogs over you? Well then I have got the perfect dog for you!! Please give a warm welcome to Clementine! In all seriousness, she is an adorable little girl. Clementine came to Hart in June 2021 and has been in the same foster home ever since. She with so many others was rescued from a hoarding situation in Tennessee. To this day, she still exhibits nervousness around people. For this reason, she is looking for a very special adopter. The adopter will need to be very patient with her and give her ample time to show her brand of affection. While she still runs from me if I try to approach her to pet her, she does make her way over to me at bedtime for lovings. She will even sleep in bed with me and give me some sweet kisses. But when it’s time to get up, she darts away again. I truly can’t explain it but I have learned to accept it. Clementine does great with her doggy friends. She is most comfortable with other dogs. The ideal adopter will have another dog in the home that will groom and “mother” her. She loves having a dog around that she can curl up with!! Also, since she is hard to catch, a fenced in yard would be best for her. Due to the fact that Clementine can be a challenge to catch and she does not come when called, any meet/greets will have to be done at the adopter’s home and only within 25 miles of the Northern Kentucky area. PS Guard your socks. She loves socks (haha)

Story
Meet Trenton! This good boy is the whole package! He is a mixed breed, best guess English pointer/boxer mix, and no one breed is evident. He is 2-year-old medium sized (55 pound) love bug who is gentle and adores kids. He is house trained. It does not appear he has been taught basic commands, but he should be a quick learner as he learned the doggy door ropes in a single day. The crate is not his favorite. He will go in when bribed with delicious treats and sleep quietly through the night. He mimics the vibe of the house by playing when we are active and snuggling on couch when we are quiet. He also gets along with other dogs, playing or backing off at the appropriate times. As he has settled into his foster home, he has started wrestling with the alpha dog of the house. Trenton deserves someone who will shower him with attention, car rides and rounds of fetch. He is everyone’s best friend, can he be yours? Trenton is neutered and up to date on all vaccines, flea and heartworm medication.
