Story
Hello, my name is Duke. I moved to Ohio from New York to live with my foster family. My family was very sorry to let me go because I am a good boy. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen life circumstances they could not keep me. My foster family takes good care of me. I live with 6 other dogs and 6 kids that I love to play with! I am good with all sizes of dogs, but my foster parents say I need to learn my boundaries better. I don’t take the hint very well when my furry friends say they have had enough. I am a big cuddle bug and love sleeping with people if I am allowed. Mom and Dad say I don’t understand how big and strong I am, so I am sorry if I accidentally knock my kids down or hurt someone jumping into their lap. I love to chew so chew toys are a must. My old Mom said my old Dad was very mean to me, so sometimes I cower when I it seems like I am in trouble and could be hit. I am very afraid of corrective collars, please don’t put one on me. If I bark, it is because I need attention, or I see or hear something outside. I don’t bark unnecessarily. My foster parents say I need more training. I know sit and come but I don’t always listen. I am very food motivated so that is a benefit for training. I currently eat my lunch and dinner in my crate because I have foster siblings that don't like to share food and my foster parents don't want anyone to get in a fight. My Mom gets up at 6 in the morning for work, so I am used to going out in the morning at 6:30 and then being in my crate until 5. I do well in my crate, but my favorite time is when they come home, and I can be out to run the yard and play with my family and friends. I eat 1.5 cups of food 2x a day and I always have water in my crate when my parents are gone. I am a really good boy with lots of energy and love to share. Please consider giving me my furever home!

Story
This handsome boy, whose head alone probably weighs about 20lb😊is so dang smart! Take him only one or two tries to catch on to what you expect of him. True, he gets overstimulated easily but teach him how to stay calm and he will surprise you! All you gotta do is spend about 5 minutes showing him how to reign in his excitement. He can't help it; he is just a super happy boy! For Rodney, life is all about loving it and having fun

Story
Live alone? Need a ‘protector’ of sorts? Moose is the best man for the job! He would like to submit his application now. He’ll gladly take just room and board (he’s a food whore, will eat anything in your fridge) and lots of love for the job! Moose has a fierce loyalty to the people he loves. He is extremely affectionate and loving. He does not skim on kisses 😊He loves laying next to his people, just chilling and being in the moment with them. Outside, he loves to play fetch. He’ll play fetch until the cows come home. This boy brings the ball back and patiently waits for it to be thrown again. He also chases birds and small animals so no cats for Moosey Goosey! Moose loves the outdoors. He’ll literally hang out outside all day if you let him. Moose is 2.5 years old. He is looking for an adult only home due to his initial distrust of people he does not know. Moose is terrified of the world. He is hoping his new family will be patient and show him how to trust. He yearns to be understood, gain confidence and freely love and trust. He is fiercely loyal and protective of the ones he loves but getting there is a journey. The end results is so rewarding, though. You will be so loved, and you will never feel scared or alone again. A fenced yard is a mist.

Story
First I would like to say that Bella is a great dog she is just very high maintenance and very outgoing. She has lots of energy and with me being busy all the time I don’t have the time to play with her and let her get all that energy out. I got her when she was a puppy from a breeder in Columbiana, Ohio. As a puppy she did go through basic training classes and she’s very smart and if you tell her to do something she listens to any command. She loves to play ball and go for walks. Bella is 6 years old now her birthday is April 25th. She does not do well with other dogs and she is okay with cats but because she is a herding dog her instinct is to always try to herd them around. I would like for her to go to a home with someone who has either a farm or lots of land. She needs someone who can give her a lot of attention and I would recommend her going to home with no other dogs or cats unless you can tolerate her herding your cats around.

Story
This boy’s happy energy … wow! Pogo’s body and tail wiggles so hard, it is contagious. Makes you want to get down and wiggle right along with him! Watch out for hard surfaces when his tail is swinging. He swings it so hard that he broke the tip of it and has to have it surgically repaired :/ Pogo is a super social guy. He is so sweet, loves everyone and every dog he meets. If he sees a dog but isn’t close enough to it where he can sniff and engage in a, ‘Hello! I am Pogo’, he screams. Oh yes, the scream is so big you think he is a 100lb dog! Nope, he is a little dude. Just 17lb! He quiets down as soon as he can go over to say hello 😊 Otherwise, he generally does not make a beep. He walks well on a leash, just mild pulling because he is excited to explore. Off leash, he loves to run as fast as his little legs would take him. Pogo is the best car passenger. He likes to put his legs on the windowsill and look out the window. When he needs a break, he lays down quietly, curls up and falls asleep to the rhythm of the car. Pogo is a lousy grooming client. He wiggles the entire time and needs one, maybe two helpers to either distract him or hold him down so the groomer can do his/her job. Pogo is 2.5-3 years old, 17lb Poodle mix. He is looking for a family with a resident dog(s) he can hang out with when the humans are at work, or go places where pups aren’t allowed. He appears to be house broken. He is not a fan of the crate. He prefers to be where his humans or doggie friends are. Considering how wiggly Pogo is, he must be in a harness when leaving the house for activities. A Freedom harness is the best, secured harness for him.

Story
If you are into big dog snuggles, you must meet Gus! At 70lb, Gus is a softie when it comes to snuggles. He gives and gets them anyhow he can, straight up or upside down! He is such a sweet, loving, affectionate boy. Full of love to give. He smiles at his humans a lot. He also likes to pick up anything he can find on the floor to give you as a gift when you come home and first thing in the morning when you awaken from sleep. Isn't that the most adorable thing??
